Far Cry 7 First Look Leaked

Details about Far Cry 7 have apparently been leaked online. Although Ubisoft hasn’t officially announced a sequel to Far Cry 6, it’s widely believed to be in development. The game is rumored to bring the first-person shooter series back to the United States, this time setting the action in Alaska. The series has only been set in the US once before – Far Cry 5, which took place in Montana. While Far Cry 5 wasn’t the most critically acclaimed game, it was the best-selling installment, so it makes sense that Ubisoft might want to revisit a similar setting in rural America.

The latest information comes from AgaiinTx, who previously leaked details about the Ubisoft game XDefiant – which was cancelled in 2024. Along with pictures of the game’s maps, characters, and main protagonist, the leaker has shared other details about the game. Because the images they’ve obtained seem genuine and varied, it’s likely the other information is accurate as well.

Leaked Details

A recent leak suggests that Far Cry 7 is being developed using Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine, which would be a first for the series. The game is reportedly set in Alaska and will feature two distinct modes: a traditional story mode and an extraction mode. The leaker believes these modes might even have separate maps, though they aren’t entirely sure. Some mission names mentioned include Airspace, NASA HQ, Verizon Centre, and JFK Centre, and the story apparently includes a reference to Ronald Reagan. The extraction mode is said to take place in a location called Paradise Park.

That’s all the information we have for now. Keep in mind this is an unconfirmed leak, not official news, so take it with a grain of salt. Ubisoft hasn’t commented on the leak yet, and we’ll update this story if that changes. Interestingly, this new information clashes with a previous leak about casting calls, which pointed towards a New England setting for the next game.
