Kayla Nicole is owning up to her past.
Following the reappearance of screenshots online – reportedly showing prejudiced posts from her past – she apologized on Instagram.
In a recent Instagram post, Kayla apologized for offensive tweets she made several years ago. She said seeing them reappear last week was very upsetting, and that she now feels ashamed of the hurtful and wrong things she said and believed at the time.
Travis Kelce’s former partner clarified that she would never say or believe those things, especially given her own experiences with online harassment.
She explained that she’s witnessed the damaging effects of online hate and didn’t want to contribute to it. She fully owns her mistake in posting the content and sincerely apologizes to anyone who was hurt.
Although she acknowledges she can’t undo what she’s done, the former sports journalist is now focused on spreading positivity and moving on with her life.
I deeply care about and respect all people, and that guides everything I do. My actions will continue to reflect the person I am and what’s important to me now.
Kayla, 34, has shared that being online has made her a target for online hate, particularly since her ex-partner became engaged to the singer Taylor Swift.

She confessed that the negativity and online turmoil definitely affect her. She explained that even on her latest posts, people are arguing about her worth and talent, claiming she’s untalented.
She explained that she believes a certain level of fame draws unstable people, and it’s upsetting because she doesn’t understand why she’s receiving such negative reactions, having never done anything to deserve it.
