There won’t be a new episode of The Late Show tonight. Stephen Colbert is in Los Angeles, hosting GQ’s Man of the Year celebration.
Stephen Colbert will co-host an upcoming event with a fantastic group of celebrities, including Seth Rogen, Sydney Sweeney, SZA, Oscar Isaac, Clipse, and Hailey Bieber. The event, put on by GQ, will have a fun theme inspired by 1990s Hollywood red carpets.
Instead of a new show tonight, CBS will re-air a past episode with guests Michelle Obama and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. The Late Show isn’t the only late-night program doing this – Jimmy Kimmel Live! is also re-running an older episode. Jimmy Kimmel has taken the rest of the week off following the death of his friend and bandleader, Cleto Escobedo III.
Tonight, GQ is holding its 30th annual Man of the Year celebration. The event honors individuals – both men and women – who have made significant achievements in the past year. GQ recognizes people from all fields, including sports, entertainment, fashion, politics, and business.
As a huge fan of the awards, I always look forward to seeing who shows up – it’s packed with legends! This year, 2024, was especially exciting. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson absolutely crushed it, taking home Entertainer of the Year. And I was thrilled to see John Mulaney recognized as Comedian of the Year – he’s brilliant. Pharrell Williams also deservedly won Designer of the Year, alongside a ton of other incredibly talented people. It was a fantastic night for recognizing creativity!
Colbert’s The Late Show airs Monday to Thursdays at 11:35 PM ET and 8:35 PM PT on CBS.
You can watch GQ’s Man of the Year event live on Thursday, November 13, 2025, on the GQ YouTube channel or on the GQ website. It starts at 10:00 PM Eastern Time and 7:00 PM Pacific Time.
