The length of Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ prison stay has been amended.
The hip-hop executive, convicted in January of arranging travel for prostitution and sentenced to over four years in prison last October, is scheduled to be released on June 4, 2028, according to records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons obtained by TopMob News.
Because of a change in his sentence, Sean Combs will now be released from prison a little over a month later than expected. He was previously scheduled to be released on May 8, 2028, but will now remain incarcerated beyond that date. Combs, 56, was recently moved to a federal prison in Fort Dix, New Jersey, from a detention center in Brooklyn.
It is not clear why Combs’ release date has been changed.
TopMob News has reached out to the music producer’s rep for comment and has not heard back.
Sean Combs’ latest album will be released shortly after his family refuted a TMZ story claiming the late artist, known for “I’ll Be Missing You,” faced issues in prison for possessing illegally made alcohol.
According to family spokesperson Juda Engelmayer, Diddy (Mr. Combs) is settling into FCI Fort Dix and concentrating on self-improvement. Engelmayer stated on November 7th that, as is common with well-known individuals in new situations, many rumors and inaccurate stories are likely to circulate during his time there.
He requested that people be understanding and give him space to focus on improving himself with dignity and intention.
Before being sentenced, Combs admitted he was sorry for arranging for male escorts to travel across state lines for sexual performances involving drugs and his then-girlfriend(s). He was convicted of these actions in July.
He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to share his side of the story, according to NBC News. He also explained that it had been very difficult for him to remain silent and unable to apologize for what he had done.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, recently found not guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking charges, said he wants to personally apologize to his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who testified against him in the case. He expressed regret for any emotional or physical pain he may have caused her.
He emphasized that he didn’t take the matter lightly, and he wanted to personally apologize to everyone affected by domestic violence.
Look back at every revelation from Combs’ trial…

At the hearing on October 3, 2025, the judge sentenced him to over four years in prison – specifically, 50 months – followed by five years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay a $500,000 fine.

The musician publicly apologized to Cassie Ventura and Jane, identifying them as victims, when he appeared in court for sentencing on October 3rd.
Combs admitted that the trauma of domestic violence will stay with him for life. He described his behavior as ‘disgusting, shameful, and sick,’ and explained it was fueled by drug use and a lack of control. He acknowledged he needed help but didn’t receive it, and stated he takes full responsibility for his actions.
He went on to share how the case has impacted him.
He explained that he was simply doing his best, but got carried away with his ambition and pride. As a result of his choices, he lost his freedom, couldn’t be present for his children or care for his mother, and lost everything he had worked for – his businesses, his career, and his good name. Most importantly, he lost his own self-respect. He feels completely broken and humbled, admitting he hates himself and has been reduced to nothing.

As a lot of you have been asking, I wanted to give you an update on the case. Judge Arun Subramanian has set the sentencing date for Combs to October 3rd, 2025. Unfortunately, the judge denied his request for release on bond, and made it clear that a long history of violent behavior was a major factor in the decision to keep him in custody until sentencing. It’s a serious situation, and we’ll continue to follow it closely.

Okay, so, the trial is over. It’s just… unbelievable. They said he wasn’t guilty of the racketeering stuff, and not the sex trafficking charges related to Cassie and ‘Jane’ either, which I honestly can’t wrap my head around. But… he was found guilty of transporting them for prostitution, which is… something, I guess? Anyway, his lawyer immediately started spinning it, trying to make it sound better, but I’m just… reeling. It’s all so complicated and messed up, and I just want justice for Cassie and ‘Jane’. It feels like a mixed bag of results, and I’m still trying to process it all.
Attorney Douglas Wigdor stated on July 2nd that the legal proceedings began when his client, Cassie Ventura, bravely filed a lawsuit in November 2023. While the jury didn’t find enough evidence to convict Combs of sex trafficking, Ventura’s actions allowed them to find him liable for transporting someone for the purpose of prostitution. Wigdor believes Ventura’s courage has had a lasting impact on the entertainment industry and the pursuit of justice.
Acknowledging the charges Combs denied, Wigdor emphasized, “We firmly stand with and support our client, who demonstrated remarkable bravery throughout this process.”
Wigdor also commended Ventura for her testimony, as she was one of 34 witnesses during the nearly month-long trial involving Combs.
He stated that she demonstrated remarkable courage and shed light on the harmful behavior of influential men, as well as the decades of unchecked misconduct. He emphasized that this case shows how urgently change is needed, and they remain committed to supporting survivors.

After learning he was found not guilty on three of the five charges against him, Combs—who could have faced life in prison if convicted on everything—dropped to his knees and bowed his head in what appeared to be a prayer, according to NBC News reporters who were present in the courtroom.
According to reports, Combs’ family members were in the courtroom and reacted with applause and cheers to the outcome. His lawyers embraced each other, and Combs himself shared a hug with his attorney, Brian Steel.

After three days of discussion, the jury of twelve reached a decision in the sex trafficking trial against Combs on July 2nd. They found him guilty on two counts related to transporting former girlfriends, Ventura and another woman known only as “Jane,” for the purpose of prostitution.
Sean Combs was acquitted of one charge of racketeering conspiracy and two charges of sex trafficking, despite having previously pleaded not guilty to all accusations.
The jury informed Judge Arun Subramanian they couldn’t agree on the racketeering charge before delivering their final decision, citing strongly held, differing opinions. The judge urged them to keep discussing the case, and they ultimately reached a verdict a few hours later.

During her closing arguments to the jury, prosecutor Christy Slavik asserted that Sean “Diddy” Combs used intimidation, force, and control to achieve his goals. She spoke for four hours and fifty minutes to make her case.
She explained that he was incredibly stubborn and always got his way. He acted as if everything and everyone belonged to him, and expected to be served.
Slavik highlighted two incidents involving Sean Combs: a physical assault on his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in 2016, and an alleged assault on his then-girlfriend in 2024, who is being referred to as “Jane” during the trial.
Although eight years apart, these two events are connected, representing different parts of the same overall story. That story centers on Sean Combs and the criminal activity he oversaw with the help of those closest to him.
The criminal group consistently fulfilled the defendant’s wishes using a calculated pattern of violence, intimidation, and control, she explained. The defendant relied on the silence and embarrassment of victims to conceal his actions, believing his celebrity, money, and influence would protect him from legal consequences.
Slavik claimed that during the trial, Combs benefited from a large team of assistants dedicated to fulfilling his every need, bolstering his image, and shielding him from any negative publicity.

The prosecutors asked the court for permission to change some details of their arguments about the attempted arson and kidnapping.
Despite still being charged with racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking – including accusations of kidnapping and arson – prosecutors have clarified the charges. In a letter dated June 24th, they stated they’ve removed specific instructions related to attempted kidnapping under the laws of both California and New York, attempted arson under California law, and assisting with sex trafficking.
The government stated it hopes that using simpler language will both make the instructions easier to follow and prevent misunderstandings.

Combs told JudgeSubramanian that he will not take the stand during his sex trafficking trial.
The judge made it clear that whether or not the defendant chose to testify, no one – not even the jury – could assume his guilt based on that decision.
Combs admitted he discussed with his team whether or not to testify, but insisted the final decision was entirely his own.
“I’ve thought this through completely, and this is what I’ve decided,” he told the judge. “It’s my decision, and I stand by it.”

Diddy’s lawyer, Teny Garagos, informed the judge that both the defense and the prosecution anticipate needing around four hours each to present their closing statements.
After several days of testimony from Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Joseph Cerciello, the prosecution rested its case on June 24th. Combs’ defense team announced they will rely on the evidence already presented and will not call any witnesses of their own.

During his June 23rd testimony, the jury saw explicit videos presented as evidence. These videos, as reported by NBC News reporters present in the courtroom, seemed to be recordings of events described as “freak offs” connected to Combs.
The agent reported finding 50 explicit videos from 2021 and 2022, but the jury only viewed two of them, using headphones and individual screens.

In voicemails from November 2021 to his former chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, Sean Combs outlined specific requests he had while staying at a hotel. These included asking for more baby oil, which he said he often used during moments of intense stress.
He told Khorram, “Have them call me before they start driving here.” Then, seemingly surprised to be out, he added, “I can’t believe I’m out. Load twenty bottles into the vehicle.”
Khorram also mentioned she was staying at the hotel another day, and let them know the baby oil was just outside the door.
Okay, so this is a bit wild. I’ve been looking at some text messages, and apparently, a former employee was prepping an IV drip for him and Jane. It sounds like they were using it to recover after what they called a ‘freak off’ – basically, a really intense competition. It wasn’t a one-time thing either, the texts show this happened at least once!
She also made sure that there were Plan-B pills, an emergency contraceptive, in his nightstand.

The court saw text messages between Combs and Ventura where Ventura openly shared how the alleged abuse was affecting her.
In March 2017, after Combs suggested they take a break from their on-again, off-again relationship (which lasted from 2007 to 2018), Ventura responded that she didn’t want a break and didn’t want to be criticized for standing up for herself. She also told him that his behavior made her feel unimportant.
In another instance, she further accused her ex of physically assaulting her.
In a letter from May, Ventura wrote that she offered him her love, but felt deeply hurt and betrayed when he acted destructively even for a moment. She described a particularly painful experience where she felt emotionally devastated, stating it felt like an out-of-body experience because witnessing her own strength and resilience was a beautiful sight amidst the pain. She emphasized that their dynamic was no longer acceptable and she was no longer willing to tolerate it, as she was 30 years old and needed to prioritize her well-being.

Brendan Paul, who worked as Sean Combs’ assistant from 2022 to 2024, testified that he bought drugs for Combs several times. These drugs included marijuana, 2C, cocaine, ketamine, and ecstasy.
Paul explained that they would contact the drug dealer by text, and the dealer would then come to one of their homes. He said he’d been connected with the dealer through text messages or phone calls, and also mentioned being fired from jobs multiple times for things like forgetting a Lululemon fanny pack.
However, Paul vehemently denied being a “drug mule” for the rap mogul.

On June 18th, Judge Subramanian ended the court session for the day because one of the jurors was sick and couldn’t return. Court will also be closed on June 19th for the Juneteenth holiday.
The judge announced that a juror is unwell and unable to attend court. They experienced dizziness and had to leave earlier, as reported by their partner. Because this juror is a regular member of the jury, the judge stated they won’t be able to continue with the trial today.
The judge acknowledged uncertainty about whether the juror’s sudden dizziness, nausea, and headache – caused by vertigo – would pass quickly or become a lasting problem, and stated they would keep the situation under review.
Because of the Juneteenth holiday on June 19th, Judge Subramanian announced the trial will continue on June 20th with a shorter schedule, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Just after Judge Subramanian removed Juror No. 6 due to inconsistent answers about where they live, another juror is now potentially facing removal. This juror reportedly discussed the case with a former coworker, and the judge questioned them and asked to examine their phone, according to NBC News.
Honestly, as of the end of the court session on June 16th, they still hadn’t decided whether or not to dismiss the member. I was really hoping for a resolution, but it looks like we’re still waiting.

Kanye West showed up at the New York City courthouse on June 13th to support Sean Combs. West was there for about half an hour and spent some time in the waiting area, but he didn’t go inside the courtroom itself. The courtroom is reserved for Combs’ family, lawyers, the press, and members of the public who have been waiting in line for hours.

Jane remembered a fight they had after she took a trip to Las Vegas with a fellow rapper and his spouse.
Let me tell you, this situation is deeply disturbing. In my professional opinion, the testimony revealed a truly awful scenario. Apparently, during a trip, things escalated to a point where a group, including herself and Combs, witnessed something incredibly invasive – a sexual act involving a hired performer, Anton, and another woman, all while being watched by others in a hotel room. It’s a clear case of exploitation and a complete violation of privacy, and frankly, it’s shocking to hear about.
Jane informed Combs’ lawyer, Geragos, that the music executive was angry because he believed she had gone to a sexually suggestive event with another man.

On the 21st day of the Combs trial, a prosecutor named Maurene Comey told the court her team wants to dismiss one of the jurors.
She told Judge Subramanian, just before the jury came in, that they were hesitant to submit the letter because it seemed dishonest and raised significant concerns for them.
Defense lawyer Alexandra Shapiro – noting that Juror No. 6 is one of the Black jurors – requested a day or two to prepare a written response and research relevant legal precedents.
Judge Subramanian stated he would postpone addressing any practical matters concerning the juror until a ruling is reached.

On June 10th, Jane and Garagos had a heated discussion where Garagos suggested the witness was exchanging sexual favors for expensive gifts.
Attorney Mark Geragos reviewed text messages from November 2021 between Jane Doe and Sean “Diddy” Combs. The messages showed the witness was distressed by Combs having sexual relations with other women. In one exchange, she questioned Combs about whether he had gifted one of these women a Chanel bag after they had sex.
Jane said that she didn’t get a Chanel purse from Combs, telling Garagos that she “got trauma.”
When the attorney asked what a Bottega bag was, she replied, “I’m sure you have one.”
And when Geragos asked how much the item costs, Jane asked, “How much does my body cost?”
Jane was granted a 10-minute break following the exchange.

Jane stated that in 2022, after researching their relationship, she came to believe Combs engaged in, or was comfortable with, a dynamic where he watched her with other people. She used the term ‘cuckhold’ to describe this.
Honestly, I’ve been obsessed with trying to figure out what’s going on in their heads, and she really helped me understand it better. She basically explained she wanted to really get to the bottom of why they get so much… enjoyment out of watching their partners with other guys. It’s just… fascinating, and she really dove deep into all the reasons behind it. I feel like I’m finally starting to get it, you know?
The witness suggested that Combs’ interest in “hotel nights” – experiences very similar to what Ventura called “freak offs” – might stem from him exploring his own sexuality.
She explained that some individuals might have hidden curiosities they feel embarrassed to explore personally, and instead live vicariously through another person’s experiences.

Jane testified that she and Combs hired an escort named Paul several times, and she gave him the nickname “Trifecta” because she felt their sexual connection was as successful as a winning combination in basketball.
“I was Kobe Bryant and Paul was Shaq [O’Neil],” she told jurors. “Combs was Michael Jordan.”
She said Paul was a kind person and, referring to past encounters with sex workers, mentioned she preferred those who seemed genuinely warm and friendly.

Jane stated that the relationship between Combs and Khorram caused problems in her own romantic relationship with the music executive.
Jane explained that Khorram was constantly with Sean, which created problems in their relationship. She felt Khorram had strong feelings for her, and that those feelings affected how Sean behaved towards her.

On June 10th, Judge Subramanian rejected a request for a mistrial from Combs’ lawyers. They had argued that Ventura and her friend, Bryana Bongolan, falsely claimed Combs had threatened to drop Bongolan from a 17th-floor balcony.
His attorneys claimed the prosecution acted improperly by presenting false testimony, a claim they made in a court filing. This isn’t the first time they’ve raised concerns; a previous request to halt the trial due to similar issues was also rejected.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this case closely, and it’s become clear there are serious concerns about the evidence presented. Essentially, the defense is arguing the government knowingly used false testimony regarding the claim that Mr. Combs threatened Ms. Bongolan by holding her over a balcony in 2016. Because of this, they’re requesting a mistrial to ensure a fair outcome. It’s a really critical point – a conviction based on inaccurate information wouldn’t be just, and they’re asking the court to recognize that.

Jane alleged that the rap mogul had beaten her for hours June 2024.
Jane stated that an argument with Combs started because he was seeing a much younger woman – 25 years his junior, she said. This argument escalated to her calling him a deeply offensive name and physically assaulting him by pushing his head into a marble countertop.
The witness testified that she hid in the main bedroom, and Sean Combs began to kick the door open. Pictures of the damaged door were shown as evidence. She claimed that while attempting to escape, Combs kicked her in the back of her leg, causing her to fall.
She told the prosecutors that he pinned her to the ground in a chokehold, lifted her off her feet, and she struggled to breathe. She was trying desperately to escape his hold.
Jane stated she fled her house and hid behind an outside wall for about two hours, hoping the person would go away, but they didn’t. She then said they both went back to his house, and she curled up in the backyard, trying to shield herself while he reportedly attacked her.

Jane testified that the fight worsened when Combs supposedly hit her. She told the court he began punching her head and kicking her, repeatedly hitting her while also yelling.
She alleged that he told her that she was “trying to take him away from his kids and his family.”
She testified that she told him, “No, I don’t want that. Please just leave me alone, just go. Please stop.” She said he then grabbed her arm and hair, and began dragging her back towards the house, pulling her by her hair and arm.
Jane reported that after the attack, she had two large, raised bumps about the size of golf balls on her forehead, and a black eye.

Jane stated that agents from Homeland Security Investigations raided her home – which Sean Combs had paid for in March 2023 – as well as several other properties owned by him. She explained that after the agents arrived at her house, she immediately contacted Combs’ head of security to inform him of the raid.

In December 2023, Jane claimed a powerful person threatened to share intimate videos of them with the father of her child.
Jane testified that as her relationship with Combs fell apart, he told her he had nothing to fear from releasing the videos. She described the situation as a relentless series of pressuring phone calls.
Jane texted Khorram about what happened, and this conversation became part of the legal evidence. In her messages, Jane stated that Combs was threatening to release a video, and she claimed she had been heavily drugged in it.
She explained she needed space from Combs to heal from the emotional pain he had inflicted.
Jane told the court that Khorram assured her that Combs would not use the footage.

In her testimony, Jane stated that certain claims in Ventura’s November 2023 lawsuit—which was eventually resolved—matched what she herself went through with Combs.
Wiping away tears, she told the jury, “I nearly passed out, I think I actually did.” She explained that three particular pages contained deeply upsetting details that mirrored what she was going through.
Jane, a participant in the “hotel nights” events, described the experience as feeling deeply personal, like she was witnessing her own life unfold. This prompted her to reach out to Combs directly through text messages.
After Ventura filed her lawsuit, she wrote, in messages presented as evidence, that reading it felt like reliving her own sexual trauma. She described feeling ill, saying the lawsuit detailed, almost verbatim, the experiences of drug-filled days and nights she’d endured. She accused Ventura of anticipating this outcome and of manipulating her, leading her to question her own sanity.
The messages expressed deep distress, stating the sender felt pressured into repeated sexual acts and invalidated in their experience of trauma. They described feeling violated and characterized the situation as sexual exploitation.
Okay, so after all that, he called her – Jane, my Jane – and he actually recorded the call! Can you believe the nerve? He didn’t tell her, of course. It was all sneaky and awful. In the recording, which they played in court, he kept saying things like they ‘did these things together’ and that this was the moment he needed her… needed her there. It was so manipulative, twisting everything to make it sound like it was her fault too. Honestly, just hearing him say those things… it broke my heart all over again.
Unaware she was being recorded, Jane told Combs she felt nauseous after reviewing Ventura’s documents.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve heard many stories, and this one is particularly striking. Jane shared with me that during her time with Sean Combs – what she referred to as ‘Hotel Nights’ involving male escorts – she often used ecstasy. However, there was one night she vividly remembers choosing to remain sober while being intimate with three men. It was a conscious decision for her, and she wanted to make sure it was known.
She testified that she had been with several men that night and had vomited. Sean then entered the room, reassuring her that she would feel better and suggesting they go outside.
Jane said that at the end of the night, she felt “absolutely terrible.”
