It was a fairytale outing for Ginnifer Goodwinand Josh Dallas.
Stars known from Once Upon a Time were the center of attention at the Zootopia 2 premiere in Los Angeles on November 13th. What made the night extra special was that they brought their sons, 10-year-old Oliver and 8-year-old Hugo, for their very first red carpet experience.
Ginnifer told TopMob News on the red carpet for Zootopia 2 that her family is with her, and they’ve always kept their children away from Hollywood, valuing their privacy.
And the Something Borrowed star admitted that the milestone step required some convincing.
“They campaigned to come,” Ginnifer shared, “and we were like, ‘You’re right.'”
The actress called the premiere a chance for her family to celebrate together, but emphasized that it wouldn’t affect how she and her husband raise their children.
I told them we still won’t be sharing anything about them, and I’ve asked them not to look us up online,” she explained.
Ginnifer and Josh got married in 2014 and have generally kept their sons private. However, their boys, Oliver and Hugo, were really excited to attend the premiere of the new Zootopia movie because they loved the first one from 2016.
The couple really wanted to attend the world premiere,” the 47-year-old said on Good Morning America on November 10th, adding that this would be their first time at any Hollywood event.
Despite the obstacles, they were determined to convince someone to let them come, and Ginnifer playfully mentioned they even prepared a PowerPoint presentation to make their case.
She and Josh, 46, then started describing the experience of walking a red carpet, pointing out how many photographers would probably be present.
Ginnifer remembered being asked if the situation would be as chaotic as leaving a Knicks game previously. They had exited through a back door and encountered two photographers, prompting her to suggest they show the photographers videos of similar events to give them an idea of what to expect.
Ginnifer Goodwin said it was rewarding to have her sons see her character, Judy Hopps from Zootopia, receive so much attention. It was the first time her “Disney-obsessed” kids really enjoyed watching something she did.

They just… don’t want to watch it! It’s so strange, but honestly, it just proves how much they’ve become those characters in everyone’s minds, it’s amazing and a little unsettling!
She admitted that she was able to watch Zootopia from a very young age because no one realized it was her, and they were thrilled to let her.
