The One Piece manga is now focusing on the exciting Elbaph Arc, where the crew travels to the legendary land of the Giants. The story is becoming increasingly dramatic with the introduction of new enemies and the revealing of details about the mysterious God Valley Incident. However, the series is deliberately keeping fans in the dark about what’s happening with Trafalgar Law, a very popular character. After teaming up with Luffy during the Punk Hazard Arc, Law was a key part of the story for over ten years, sailing alongside the Straw Hat Pirates throughout much of their journey in the New World. He separated from the Straw Hats after the conclusion of the Wano Country arc.
I remember when Law and Bepo left Wano – things went south quickly. They immediately ran into Blackbeard and suffered a really tough defeat. Bepo barely got them both out of there, but we haven’t heard anything about the rest of their crew since. We last saw them in Chapter 1081, back in March 2023. They haven’t reappeared in the main story yet, but it was great to see them featured on the cover of Chapter 1165! Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, often does illustrations based on what fans ask for, and this was one of those. It’s funny because the fan only requested a picture of Bepo using Zeus as a pillow, but Oda added Law too, since he’s often seen doing the same thing with his crew’s navigator.
It’s Due Time One Piece Brings Trafalgar Law Back

Trafalgar Law first appeared during the Sabaody Archipelago arc as a powerful pirate with a bounty exceeding 100 million berries. He unexpectedly arrived near the end of the Marineford war, rescuing a badly injured Luffy after his battle with Akainu. Law also saved Jinbe, a former Shichibukai, who had risked his own safety to protect Luffy following Ace’s death. His popularity grew significantly when he formed an alliance with Luffy in the Punk Hazard arc, aiming to defeat Kaido, one of the Four Emperors.
Having traveled the New World with the Straw Hat Pirates, he quickly became one of the crew and accepted their unique personalities. The story is rapidly building towards a significant reveal, and it needs to revisit important characters like Law, who Oda has hinted will play a major role. Beyond his hidden alias, Oda has repeatedly suggested big things are planned for him.
After a significant loss, Bepo left Blackbeard’s crew to find assistance, believing some of their members might still be alive and held captive on Hachinosu. Because of how important Law is to the overall story, we can expect him to return eventually, though the timing remains uncertain.
