Lost Soul Aside is Getting a 100-Wave Mode, Prologue Skip and a Cutscene Overhaul on November 18

After over ten years in development, Ultizero Games’ Lost Soul Aside has finally released, receiving a varied response from critics and players. The developers have already made several updates to improve how the game runs and feels, and a major new update is scheduled to launch on November 18th.

A new game mode, Surge of Voidrax, has been added! It challenges players to defeat 100 waves of enemies in a different dimension. The difficulty increases with each wave, introducing a variety of enemies and bosses. Luckily, you’ll be able to use all available weapons and skills to help you survive.

The game also has some elements of rogue-lite gameplay, letting you collect potions and upgrade the Arena. If you play well, you can even unlock Phantom Cards to get cool new white costumes.

This update makes the game even better in several ways. You can now skip the introductory Prologue, and a new Voidrax Pathfinder helps you find objectives and solve puzzles. The cutscenes have also been completely reworked with more realistic emotions, enhanced lighting and shadows for a more immersive experience, and lip-sync animations that match the environment.

On top of everything else, moving around – rolling and double-jumping – should be smoother, especially when using the Scythe and Greatsword. Plus, players can now finally customize their button layouts, which is a highly requested feature.

Lost Soul Aside is now available on PlayStation 5 and PC. You can read our review of the game to find out what we liked about it.
