Homura: The Crimson Warriors launches in March 2026 in the west

Idea Factory International has announced that the otome visual novel Homura: The Crimson Warriors will be available on Switch in western regions in March 2026.

Originally released in Japan for the PS Vita on June 28, 2018, as Kurenai no Homura: Sanada Ninpouchou, Houra: The Crimson Warriors is now also available on the Nintendo Switch, launching on February 15, 2024.

The game will be released in North America with both physical and digital copies in March 2026. European players will have access to the digital version in March, but the physical version won’t be available until April.

About

Fourteen years have passed since the Battle of Sekigahara split Japan in two.

The Tokugawa shogunate has taken complete control and is now plotting to destroy the Toyotomi clan, who have long been a source of trouble for them.

After the Tokugawa clan began their advance, the Toyotomi clan chose to make their stand at Osaka Castle. They sent requests for help to lords across the country, but only a small number responded. Among those who answered the call was Nobushige Sanada, the second son of the Sanada family, who had been exiled to Mt. Kudo and placed under house arrest following the Battle of Sekigahara.

Nobushige’s flight from Mt. Kudo is aided by the Sanada Ten Braves, ten skilled ninjas loyal to him despite being exiled. Opposing them are the Ura Yagyu – a deadly group of assassins working for the shogunate – along with other dangerous swordsmen and powerful warriors.

This story marks the end of the Warring States period, focusing on the strong relationships and lives of Nobushige Sanada and his ten elite warriors as they defend Osaka Castle.
