Ariana Grande knows that each step of her career isn’t eternal.
In the past few years, the 32-year-old artist has achieved a lot, releasing her album Eternal Sunshine and filming the Wicked movies. While she has a short tour planned for 2026 after Wicked: For Good comes out, she ultimately wants to prioritize her well-being and may take a significant break from touring in the future.
Ariana recently told Amy Poehler on the Good Hang podcast that she believes the next decade or so will be quite different from the past 10 to 15 years. While she didn’t want to make any firm predictions, she expressed excitement about her upcoming, small tour, suggesting it might be a while—possibly a very long time—before she tours again.
The Oscar nominee shared that they’re committed to giving their best effort and are confident it will be wonderful, expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity.
She explained that she’s probably stepping away from performing in arenas and stadiums for a while. “I’m doing this as a final, big farewell,” she said, adding, “For the time being, anyway.”
Ariana isn’t looking to withdraw from public life, she’s simply prioritizing what feels best for her right now.
She explained that prioritizing what feels genuinely right in the present is what’s best for her well-being, her creativity, and her personal growth. She believes trusting those immediate, authentic feelings is a positive and beneficial approach.

As for what might be next? A possible return to her Broadway roots.
She said on November 18th that returning to the stage would be amazing. She added that she’s enjoying life and is thankful for whatever happens next.
Ariana started her career very young, appearing in the musical 13 at age 15, and this feels like the right path for her at this point in her life.
I’m really inspired by acting right now – whether it’s in films, on stage, or even smaller projects. I definitely still plan to sing, but that’s where my focus is at the moment.
