I’m already hooked on the new crime drama, Cooper & Fry! It’s got Mandip Gill from Doctor Who and Robert James-Collier from Downton Abbey, and their chemistry as the two detectives is fantastic – they’re such an unlikely pair, but it totally works. It’s only just started, but everyone seems to be loving it as much as I am!
This show is adapted from a popular series of books by Stephen Booth. Since only four books were used for the first season, the show has a lot of potential to continue with future seasons.

It’s still unclear if Cooper & Fry will return for a second season. Season 1 has just begun airing on Channel 5, and we probably won’t have any news about the show’s future for several weeks or months.
It looks like the creators of the show are interested in continuing the series, and with 14 more Stephen Booth novels available, there’s plenty of source material to work with.
Robert James-Collier, who stars in the upcoming series, expressed hope that if viewers enjoy it, there will be opportunities to create more episodes and storylines.
Director Ryan Tohill believes the show’s success hinges on viewers connecting with the dynamic between the two main characters, Rob and Mandip. If people become invested in their relationship, he feels the show could continue for multiple seasons, allowing the writers to explore more complex and darker storylines.
