After a winding development process, STALKER 2 is finally nearing release.
Tomorrow, STALKER 2 will finally be available on PlayStation 5, almost a year after its somewhat bumpy release on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
For fans eagerly awaiting STALKER 2 on PlayStation 5, the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World has announced the official release times worldwide.
Spend the next few hours gathering supplies like ammunition, medicine, and some vodka. The vodka isn’t for fun – it’s to help deal with the radiation.
STALKER 2 PS5 Release Times
Many consider STALKER 2 to be the best open-world, post-apocalyptic game available, and it’s now available after several updates! It launched at 2:00 PM Kyiv time. Here’s when you can start playing depending on where you are located:

STALKER 2 launched with a lot of problems, but it’s been steadily improving, much like No Man’s Sky did after its rocky start. The latest update, called Expedition, fixes many of the issues players have been reporting since the game came out. You can see a complete list of changes here.

One of the biggest criticisms of the AI in STALKER 2 is that it doesn’t quite measure up to the innovative ‘A-Life’ system first seen in the 2007 game, Shadow of Chernobyl. Players haven’t been fully satisfied with its performance.
STALKER 2 now features dynamic territory control, where factions battle for dominance, similar to how it worked in STALKER: Clear Sky. This means checkpoints, locations, and landmarks can switch between different factions’ control.
Now that things have settled, stalkers generally leave their bases each morning and return before nightfall, establishing a regular daily pattern.
After the release of the PlayStation 5, the STALKER 2 team is now aiming to update the game’s engine in early 2026. This is the next big step in the game’s development.
