Battlefield 6 Update Made a Huge Change No One’s Talking About

Since its release, Battlefield 6 has been getting better thanks to ongoing updates and adjustments. While new content like maps, weapons, and game modes grab attention, some of the most important improvements are small details that significantly enhance gameplay during matches.

A recent update has fixed important issues with the Engineer and Assault classes. These classes now work as originally designed, giving players the tools and perks they should have had from the beginning. This makes both classes much more fun and effective to play.

Engineers Finally Have the Anti-Armor Firepower They Were Meant to Have

Engineers who specialize in anti-armor have been frustrated with the “Extra Rockets” perk since the game launched. The perk was intended to provide more rockets for launchers, making it easier to destroy enemy vehicles. However, it hasn’t worked as expected since the official release of Battlefield 6, and many players have noticed this issue.

Without this upgrade, you often struggled in vehicle combat, unable to destroy tougher vehicles on your own, even if they were unsupported. Even when used to its full potential, the limited number of rockets severely hindered the class’s ability to deal with armored targets, forcing players to change how they played – sometimes even relying on waiting near a Support player’s supplies just to be effective.

We’ve fixed an issue for Anti-Armor Engineers! They now start with more launcher ammo, varying by launcher type, restoring a feature that hasn’t worked correctly since the game launched. This means you can now reliably take on tanks and vehicles without constantly worrying about running out of ammo. This change makes the Anti-Armor class much more effective and lets you play it as intended.

This update improves how Engineers work as a team. They’re now better at taking out vehicles, providing useful support, and feeling like a strong presence in combat. Fixing the issue with the “Extra Rockets” perk gives Engineers back a key ability, significantly boosting their effectiveness on the battlefield.

Assault Breachers Are Finally Equipped as Intended

As a big fan of the Assault class, I’m so relieved they finally fixed the Breacher! When it first came out, Breachers were supposed to start with two grenades thanks to a perk called “Extra Grenades” – it was a huge part of how the class was designed to fight, especially up close. But a bug meant we only got one, which really held the class back and made it pretty weak. Honestly, most people, myself included, ended up picking the Frontliner instead because of its quick health regen – it just felt more useful. There really wasn’t any good reason to play a Breacher until now, but I’m excited to give it another shot!

As a Breacher main, I’m so happy about this update! We finally get the two grenades we were promised, which really levels the playing field with Frontliners. Honestly, it’s a huge deal. Being able to throw two grenades lets us actually clear rooms effectively and control areas like never before. I’m already finding I can play way more aggressively, push up confidently, and create space for my team much easier. This fix just turns those tight, close-quarters fights into real opportunities to dominate and work together!

This update significantly strengthens what it means to play as the Breacher class. The Breacher now effectively complements the Frontliner, thanks to a fix for the long-requested “Extra Grenades” perk, which finally lets the class perform as originally envisioned. These improvements demonstrate how small changes can have a big impact, making both Anti-Armor Engineers and Assault Breachers more enjoyable and effective in every game. While these updates might seem minor, they actually make a substantial difference.
