With all episodes of AdHoc Studio’s interactive superhero series, Dispatch, now available, we’re curious to hear your thoughts!
If you haven’t heard of it, Dispatch is a relaxed, story-driven game where you make choices as part of a superhero emergency service. The whole story is told over eight episodes.
The first couple of episodes came out on October 22nd, and then they released two more episodes every week after that. I was hooked right away!
Even though people worried about releasing games in episodes – a method that became unpopular after Telltale Games struggled with it – Dispatch actually became very successful, gaining a lot of players each week.
Honestly, what really makes this game amazing is the characters. They’re just so much fun, and the writing is top-notch – they feel like real people with interesting stories. There’s always something happening, too; plenty of drama to keep you hooked!
Honestly, ‘Dispatch’ feels less like a traditional show and more like something you really interact with. And that’s a good thing! It’s got that same ‘just one more episode’ pull that you get from being totally hooked on a great show like one of the big hits on Netflix.
We said in our full Dispatch PS5 review that if you enjoy the game’s humor, you’re in for a really good experience.
Despite lacking substantial gameplay, the game delivers a wonderfully paced and consistently engaging superhero story with surprisingly mature themes. We gave it a score of 8 out of 10, calling it a great experience.
We understand you might have a different opinion, and we’d love to hear it! Please rate this and share your thoughts in the comments below.
