Since its launch last month, ARC Raiders has been very popular, but players are now pointing out a significant bug. This bug is an exploit that lets players bypass locked doors and enter buildings without the necessary keys. You can see an example of this issue in a clip shared by social media user Lance.
During a recent stream, Zombie Barricades helped a teammate bypass a locked door by exploiting a glitch in the game, allowing them to pass through the wall. The teammate then opened the door from the inside, giving Zombie Barricades access to the room’s loot.
Players are very frustrated by this glitch, with many believing anyone who uses it should be banned. Others think the developers, Embark Studios, should prioritize fixing the problem quickly. Some ideas for a fix include preventing players from opening the door while inside the room, or automatically resetting a blocker whenever someone enters a locked room.
Embark Studios hasn’t officially responded to reports of this glitch, but they’re probably aware of it and working on a fix for a future update. It’s unclear if players who used the glitch will face any penalties.
As a big fan of ARC Raiders, I’ve been really impressed with how much Embark Studios has been supporting the game after launch! They’re constantly putting out updates, and just last week they released one that tweaked the balance, especially for the Venator. The developers felt it was a bit too strong, so they made some adjustments, which is great to see.
We’ve noticed the upgraded Venator pistol has been exceptionally powerful, sometimes defeating entire teams with close-range weapons. To address this, we’re slightly reducing its firing speed from upgrades, but maintaining its damage and precision. This change should encourage players to be more deliberate with their shots. Players also correctly pointed out the Venator’s weight didn’t match other pistols, so we’ve adjusted that for consistency.
This update also adjusted several weapons, like the Deadline and Power Cell, and reworked how explosive damage works. These changes aim to make fights against ARCs more predictable and balanced.
The new game ARC Raiders is proving popular, recently reaching a peak of 353,000 players online at the same time. Analysts at Alinea Analytics believe the game has nearly sold 7 million copies, with about 4 million of those sales coming from the Steam platform and the remaining sales from players on consoles. While these numbers are estimates, the official studios, Nexon and Embark Studios, haven’t yet released confirmed sales data.
It seems you can still glitch easily into the Key Rooms in ARC Raiders without using a Key – especially when playing as a team.
This exploit should be fixed as soon as possible!@ARCRaidersGame @EmbarkStudios
