Lies of P Director Says He “Will Not Disappoint You” With the Sequel

NEOWIZ, the developer behind the successful game Lies of P and its Overture DLC, isn’t stopping there. Game director Choi Ji-won recently told GamesRadar that the team is already working on a sequel. This news comes as Lies of P: Overture was also recognized with the Best Game Expansion award at The Golden Joystick Awards 2025.

Ji-won shared his excitement about the DLC winning an award and explained that the studio is focused on making the sequel as enjoyable as possible for players. He also promised they won’t let fans of Lies of P down.

He promised players the game would be incredibly enjoyable, and assured fans they could expect great things. He added that the team is working diligently and confident they won’t be let down.

As a huge fan of Lies of P, I was so excited to hear back in November 2023 that NEOWIZ was already planning a sequel! They also teased a DLC, which we now know as Overture. But since that initial announcement, it’s been radio silence – and honestly, I’m dying to know what they’re working on! I’m really hoping they share some details soon.

NEOWIZ recently shared plans for several upcoming games in an investor presentation. They intend to launch four titles in 2026: Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe and Kill the Shadow will be released on mobile and PC, respectively, in the first half of the year. Goodbye Seoul: Itaewon (PC) and Kingdom 2 (mobile) are scheduled for release in the second half of the year.

These upcoming games represent the first step in NEOWIZ’s strategy to create ongoing, live service releases for both mobile and PC. They’re also already planning for the future with phase 2, which will focus on expanding their popular game franchises globally. Although specific release dates for phase 2 games haven’t been announced, NEOWIZ has confirmed they are developing a survival action adventure game and a life simulation game.

The company is developing four projects internally, including two led by Seungho Jin and Kay Lee, all planned for PC and consoles. In addition, they’re publishing a retro sci-fi RPG from Wolfeye Studios and a noir western CRPG created by Zakazane Studio.

So, back in November 2024, NEOWIZ let slip they were building a sci-fi survival horror game using Unreal Engine 5 – it’s probably that “survival action adventure” thing they showed investors. I’m really excited to see what they come up with!
