Orlando Bloom Has Sweet Thanksgiving With Kids Daisy, 5, and Flynn, 14

Orlanda Bloom is lord of Thanksgiving.

It was so heartwarming to see Orlando Bloom share how much love he has for his kids this Thanksgiving! He really opened up about his bond with both Daisy, his daughter with Katy Perry, who’s five, and Flynn, his 14-year-old son with Miranda Kerr. It’s wonderful to see how much he cherishes them both.

On November 28th, Orlando shared a photo on Instagram showing him happily hugging his children, with heart emojis covering their faces, while surrounded by many pumpkins.

Leaning into the holiday’s theme, the 48-year-old wrote, “A lot to be grateful for.”

Meanwhile, Daisy happily ran towards the beach wearing a cute navy and white polka dot dress.

Orlando generally keeps his children private, but he and his former partners are committed to successfully co-parenting. Miranda, who was married to Orlando from 2010 to 2013, recently shared how she and Katy approach raising their children as a blended family.

Last month, while on Today With Jenna & Friends, the former Victoria’s Secret angel emphasized the importance of love and respect in any relationship. She explained that remembering everyone is human is key, and prioritizing children’s needs – ensuring they feel accepted and loved – should be the main focus.

The 42-year-old explained that everyone is simply trying their best to improve and grow. He believes it’s important to set a good example for kids.

She’s also mentioned that her relationship with Orlando and Katy extends beyond simply co-parenting, especially after they announced their split in July following nine years as a couple.

Miranda shared on the Kyle and Jackie-O Show that she recently spent time with Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. She said they took a photo together over the weekend, describing the moment as ‘very sweet.’ According to Miranda, she and Katy were chatting with Orlando when someone suggested they take a picture.

Oh my gosh, she told me this and I nearly died! Apparently, Katy sent her a photo – and get this – it was of Orlando with both of us! Me and Katy, side-by-side! She said we were all smiling so big, like…like we’re just one huge, happy family! Can you believe it? It’s the cutest, most amazing thing ever, honestly. I’m obsessed!

Despite ending their romantic relationship in 2023, the Grammy-winning artist and their Swedish-Syrian ex-partner continue to co-parent their children, Lucia and Renn.

Jwan described their relationship with their ex-partner as truly wonderful in a September 2025 interview with Attitude. They’ve established a peaceful and stable co-parenting arrangement, living just ten minutes apart and communicating every other day, with a shared focus on their children’s well-being.

He described it as more than just an experience – it’s a lifestyle, and a truly wonderful one at that.

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, parents to Noah, Bodhi, and Journey, prioritize their children’s well-being as they navigate co-parenting. Brian emphasizes that the most important thing is to always focus on what’s best for the kids, acknowledging that a breakup will inevitably affect them, but the way it affects them is within their control. He suggests choosing your battles, recognizing that disagreements existed during the relationship and won’t magically disappear post-separation. Co-parenting, he explains, is a different dynamic than being a couple. Megan agrees, stressing the importance of never speaking negatively about the other parent, even subtly. She believes that accepting and loving their father is crucial, as rejecting him would mean rejecting a part of their children themselves – a part of their identity and very being.

Josh Duhamel and Fergie continue to demonstrate a positive co-parenting relationship. Duhamel recently shared on The Jess Cagle Show how supportive Fergie has been, even welcoming his wife, Audra Mari, into the family. He noted it could have been a difficult situation, but Fergie has handled it with grace.

Duhamel also revealed that Fergie was genuinely happy for him and Audra when they announced they were expecting their son, Shepherd, who was born in January 2024. Shepherd joins big brother Axl, whom Duhamel shares with Fergie.

Duhamel emphasized Fergie’s kind nature and her excitement for their growing family, especially considering their divorce was finalized in 2019 after a two-year separation. He expressed gratitude for their civil and positive co-parenting dynamic, acknowledging that things could easily have been much more challenging.

Irina Shayk, who has a daughter named Lea with her former partner Bradley Cooper, doesn’t like the label ‘co-parenting.’ In a 2021 interview with ELLE, she explained that when she’s with Lea, she’s fully a mother, and when Lea is with Bradley, he’s fully her father. She believes parenting is simply parenting, regardless of the parents’ relationship status.

Despite ending their four-year relationship in 2019, Irina and Bradley have remained friendly. They continue to prioritize family time, taking vacations together and supporting each other in New York and beyond.

In 2023, Irina told the magazine that Bradley is ‘the best father Lea and I could dream of,’ adding that their successful co-parenting relationship is a result of their mutual effort and commitment.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have found a successful co-parenting rhythm, despite their divorce in 2014. Carey notes that, like love itself, building that rhythm takes time. Cannon agrees, saying they’ve become great friends and co-parent well, with Carey having taught him a lot. He considers her family.

Cannon is also a father to many other children: Zion and Mixolydian, Zillion Heir and Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; Golden “Sagon,” Powerful Queen and Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell; Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole; and Halo Marie and the late Zen with Alyssa Scott.

As a lifestyle expert, I always find myself circling back to examples of modern family dynamics, and it’s impossible to talk about navigating separation with grace without mentioning Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. They really brought a new conversation to the forefront when they announced their split in 2014, coining the phrase “consciously uncoupling.”

I remember Gwyneth talking about it on Drew Barrymore’s show – she explained it’s hard work prioritizing your kids, especially when you’re not always feeling warm and fuzzy towards your ex. It’s about showing up, even when it’s difficult – having that family dinner, making eye contact, and remembering your commitment to co-parenting with love and respect. It’s a conscious effort to build a new kind of relationship, one focused on the kids’ wellbeing.

What I admire is their commitment to remaining a family, forever. Gwyneth has been so open about the fact that it’s not always perfect – there are good days and bad days, just like in any relationship. But they’re both driven by the same goal: unity, love, and doing what’s best for Apple and Moses. It’s a powerful reminder that even after a breakup, you can still cherish the qualities you loved in your partner.

Following their divorce in 2022, Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady have been navigating the challenges of co-parenting. In a 2024 interview with Robin Roberts, Gisele admitted some days are harder than others, but emphasized her children, Benjamin and Vivian, are intelligent and adaptable. She explained that children will naturally test boundaries, and she can only control her own actions. Gisele believes it’s about finding balance, with both she and Tom spending time with the kids, allowing them to benefit from experiencing two different perspectives. Tom echoed this sentiment, stating that they are both focused on raising their children – including Jack, from a previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan – with love, kindness, empathy, and strong values. He noted that raising kids today is different than how they were raised, but they are committed to instilling the right principles.

Ben Affleck, having played a superhero himself, recognizes one in real life, and that includes his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. They share three children: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. Affleck has praised Garner as a “superhero mom,” calling her an amazing mother and expressing his gratitude for their successful co-parenting relationship. He stated they prioritize their children’s well-being. Jennifer Lopez, who married and later divorced Ben in 2022, also acknowledged Garner’s excellent co-parenting skills, noting that she and Ben work well together in raising their children.

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik separated in 2021, but they’ve successfully continued to co-parent their daughter, Khai. Zayn shared in a 2023 interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast that they have a strong relationship focused on Khai’s well-being, saying, “It’s going well, I think.” Gigi told The Sunday Times that the key to navigating this situation is prioritizing the child’s happiness, as you’ll be interacting with your co-parent for a long time. She added that she’s especially happy Khai gets to spend time with both of her parents.

Khloe Kardashian is committed to co-parenting with her ex, Tristan Thompson, despite past difficulties. She admits it’s challenging to be cordial with someone who hurt her, especially when their children, True and Tatum Thompson, are present. In an interview with tmrw in January 2024, she explained she had to learn to manage her emotions and avoid impulsive reactions she might later regret. Ultimately, Khloe prioritizes her children having a strong relationship with their father. She believes that if Tristan wants to be an involved and hands-on parent—as he also is to his son Prince with Jordan Craig and son Theo with Maralee Nichols—she wouldn’t interfere with that.

Although Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr separated in 2013, they continue to successfully co-parent their son, Flynn. This includes a friendly relationship with each other’s current partners: Orlando’s fiancée, Katy Perry, and Miranda’s husband, Evan Spiegel, the CEO of Snapchat.

Miranda has expressed her happiness for Orlando and Katy, stating on The Drew Barrymore Show in 2020 that her priority is Flynn having happy parents. She’s grateful that both she and Orlando have found fulfilling relationships and that they all maintain a respectful dynamic.

Despite busy schedules and growing families – Orlando and Katy now have a daughter, Daisy Dove, and Miranda and Evan share three sons, Hart, Myles, and Pierre – they continue to come together for important occasions. Miranda explained that they prioritize Flynn’s well-being and work out compromises to ensure the best possible family environment, always focusing on what’s best for him.

Okay, seriously, I’m obsessed with how Kate Hudson does things! It’s amazing to me that she doesn’t just cut ties with her exes, Chris Robinson and Matt Bellamy. She actually wants to stay connected! She told The Sunday Times that she and Chris just need to check in on each other now and then, which is so mature. And Matt? She calls him a wonderful co-parent to their son Bingham! She basically said that just because a romantic relationship ends doesn’t mean the love disappears – it just changes. She’s all about focusing on the love for their child, and honestly, it’s beautiful. She also has a daughter, Rani, with Danny Fujikawa, and she feels like her little family unit – three kids with three different dads – is incredibly strong and works perfectly for them. It might not be a ‘normal’ family, but she says they’re totally thriving, and I think that’s just so inspiring! It’s like, she’s redefining what family means, and I’m here for it!

It can be challenging for co-parents to get along, but Anna Faris says her relationship with her ex-husband Chris Pratt, his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, and their son Jack has improved. Faris, who split from Pratt in 2017, told People magazine in 2022 that they are all becoming closer and she really appreciates that. She feels both sides are protective of each other and values their support.

Faris described Katherine, who shares daughters Lyla and Eloise with Pratt and is expecting another child, as “awesome” and praised her for being very organized and great with Jack.

Now married to Michael Barrett, Faris says things are much easier and more peaceful as time has passed, and she’s happy with how the blended family is functioning. She feels relieved to have moved past any lingering negativity.

It’s ideal when coparents can agree and work together, and Mel B says it wasn’t easy for her and Eddie Murphy to build that kind of relationship.

Mel B, reflecting on past difficulties with PTSD and controlling relationships, explained to Us Weekly in May 2025 that it was challenging to build a strong relationship with Eddie while she was going through those struggles, but she gradually managed to do so. Despite those past challenges, she says their friendship has actually grown stronger in recent years. Their teenage daughter, Angel, is close to her father, and they often spend time together, including holidays. Mel B praised Eddie as a dedicated father to his ten children.

Just because the TV show The O.C. was full of drama doesn’t mean Rachel Bilson and her ex, Hayden Christensen, have a difficult co-parenting relationship. In a 2024 interview with People, Bilson said, “Everything’s good.” She added that their daughter, Briar Rose, is thriving and has plenty of support from both parents and their families.
