The Vampyre Kraken can be a challenging boss fight in Old School RuneScape (OSRS), but players can use a specific location, called a safespot, to avoid taking damage.
This allows you to easily defeat the kraken without any danger! Simply stay still and attack it until it’s defeated, as it won’t be able to fight back. However, you’ll need to prepare properly first.
In this quick guide, we’ll tell you how to set up a safespot to farm Vampyre Krakens.
How to Safespot Vampyre Kraken | OSRS
We’ll be using the RuneLite client for this safe spotting technique because of its helpful Ground Markers feature. This will clearly show you exactly where to position yourself.
With that said, here are the Ground Markers you’ll need for this safespot:

To add these markers, simply copy them, then right-click on your minimap and choose “Import Ground Markers.” This will immediately place them in your game, highlighting the corresponding locations.
After you’ve finished that, go to the location marked on the map. It’s a little north of Weiss, where you’ll encounter and battle the Vampyre Kraken in the northwest part of the area.
Once you arrive, guide your ship using the markers as a reference – aim for a setup similar to the example shown. After that, you’ll need to defeat the Vampyre Kraken in the usual way to make it reappear.
Attack the Vampyre Kraken the moment it reappears! You’ll find it on the orange Kraken Spawn tile. It’s important to strike quickly, before it leaves that tile.
If done right, this will trap the Vampyre Kraken underwater, preventing it from attacking. This makes defeating it much easier – you can even do it while you’re away from the keyboard, just remember to check on it before it respawns!
