You haven’t taken a trip to the Upside Down: The Stranger Things kids really are all grown up.
After a nine-year wait, the fifth and final season of the popular sci-fi drama has begun, and it’s expected to be both spectacular and deeply moving.
Over the past decade, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, and the rest of the cast of the show have been telling the story of Eleven, a teen with special powers, and her friends in Hawkins, Indiana. During that time, the actors themselves have also grown up and changed a lot.
Millie, who was only 12 when the show first came out, has quickly grown up. She recently became a mother herself, adopting a baby girl with her husband, Jake Bongiovi, this summer. The couple, married in 2024, announced the happy news in August, but they’ve decided to keep their baby girl out of the public eye for now.
Millie, 21, recently told British Vogue that she and her partner would support their daughter if she ever decided to share her personality with the public, like Millie did when she was younger. However, they feel it’s their responsibility as parents to protect her privacy while she’s still so young.
The actress is enjoying starting a family, but Finn recently shared that he’s currently single and not focused on dating.
He told Variety in August that he’s been working harder than ever before. He suggested this might be why he hasn’t been in a serious relationship, perhaps even intentionally so.
Finn’s dedication to his career has led to major roles in popular films like It and Ghostbusters: Afterlife. A big part of his ongoing success is that he hasn’t tried to simply repeat what made Stranger Things so popular – he’s intentionally moved forward with different kinds of projects.

He said his path to growth, both personally and professionally, wasn’t about trying to be something different. Instead, he wanted to fully accept and build upon what he already had.
Sadie, 23, is quickly becoming a well-known actress, with notable roles including a memorable appearance in Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well” short film and a Tony Award nomination for her recent Broadway performance in John Proctor Is the Villain. As her career takes off, she’s increasingly protective of her private life.
In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, Sadie Sink explained that she prefers to keep her personal life private. She believes that the more attention focused on her as a person, the less impact her acting roles will have. “I think the louder that gets, the quieter the impact of your characters can be,” she said, adding that this is just her theory, but she’s sticking to it.
Okay, everyone, exciting news! The first part of Stranger Things Season Five is finally here on Netflix – you can start binge-watching right now! And mark your calendars because the second volume will be released on December 25th, wrapping up the entire series on December 31st.
