Season 4 of Mayor of Kingstown is building towards a large-scale conflict across the city, fueled by ongoing tensions between the Cartel and the Aryan Brotherhood. Following the dramatic events of episode 5 – Kyle’s transfer to general population and the destruction of Bunny’s drug shipment – Kingstown is on edge and a major showdown seems inevitable.
Mike’s struggling to get things back on track, but with unexpected new abilities emerging and old friends causing trouble, the situation is incredibly unstable. Episode 6 doesn’t offer any relief, as things continue to get more complicated.
Bunny Is Being Double Crossed In Mayor of Kingstown Season 4
I couldn’t believe what happened to Bunny right at the start of the episode! He was being driven somewhere when suddenly, someone spiked their tires. Bunny was desperate to keep moving, even telling his driver to try and drive on the rims, but Lamar was the sensible one – he immediately got out to assess the damage. It was a crazy scene!
Things really kicked into high gear when we suddenly started getting shot at from someone hiding in the trees. Poor Bunny was completely exposed and couldn’t defend himself, so it was up to Lamar and me to try and help. Unfortunately, Bunny took a beating before the shooter finally disappeared.
Bunny ends up in the hospital, and his sister looks after him. Meanwhile, Mike and Frank each decide how they’re going to get revenge for what happened to Bunny.
Mike discovers that Lamar is secretly helping Frank Moses. Lamar deliberately endangered Bunny, hoping Frank would use the situation to seize control of everything happening in Kingstown.
Kyle McLusky Sees A Whole Different Side Of Anchor Bay
Dennis P. Mong Jr. / Paramount +
So far, Kyle’s time in prison has been relatively easy. Even though Callahan is in the cell right next to his, Kyle hasn’t experienced any trouble.
Kyle is having trouble blending in with the general prison population. His past work as a police officer means some criminals at Anchor Bay recognize him, which could be dangerous. It appears Callahan has ordered the Aryan Brotherhood to protect him, as they’ve been giving him extra food during meals.
Kyle is unfortunately attacked by Cartel prisoners after being taken to a remote location by a couple of dishonest guards. They attempt to seriously harm him, but the Aryan Brotherhood intervenes just in time to save him.
The experience deeply disturbed Kyle, and though Mike managed to have him returned to Administrative Segregation, he’s unlikely to recover fully from this frightening ordeal.
The Mayor & The Sicario Have A Discussion In The Diner
I’m really hoping Mike can figure out who’s really running things with the Cartel. They’re causing so many problems, both in and out of the prisons here in Kingstown, and he’s determined to stop them. I heard he’s started by keeping an eye on that young hitman – apparently, he eats breakfast at the same diner every day, and Mike went to check him out.
Mike attempts to scare the young man, but he doesn’t seem fazed at all. When Mike questions why they’re after Bunny, the assassin explains that Bunny is just a small piece of a larger game. Their real target is someone much more powerful – like the Mayor.
Mike Makes A Deal With The Warden To Save Kyle
Warden Nina Hobbs meets with Mike and they make a deal: Mike will ensure Kyle returns to Ad Seg, and Callahan will be moved to the general population. In exchange, Hobbs asks Mike to bring in Frank Moses, which Mike readily agrees to, as Moses betrayed Bunny.
Mike, pretending to be Moses, lets everyone know he’ll be frequently leaving and returning to the police station, all while secretly arranging for Ian to be arrested. But when a hitman from the cartel tries to kill Moses at the police station, Ian quickly neutralizes the threat.
Things don’t look good for Moses and Mike’s relationship, and it seems like many people in Kingstown are now focused on Moses.

Following these events, Mike goes to the hospital and takes over caring for Bunny, giving his sister a break. Shortly after, Ian calls while the person who tried to kill everyone is attacking the police station, but Mike ignores the call.
Right now, he’s choosing to disconnect from everything and spend time with a close, longtime friend. Bunny and Mike share a deep connection to Kingstown, a bond the outsiders causing trouble will never grasp.
This situation is a sharp contrast to Mike’s life in prison. To survive there, he joined the Aryan Brotherhood and became loyal to Callahan and his group, which probably meant they often targeted people similar to Bunny. That wasn’t the real Mike, but rather the person he had to become to stay alive.
Season 4, episode 6 of Mayor of Kingstown seems to be building towards a very risky climax, as tensions in the city are currently at their peak.
