Good news for horror fans! A popular supernatural show has unexpectedly returned to Netflix. All six seasons – a total of 100 episodes – became available on December 1st as part of Netflix’s new December releases, so you can start binge-watching right away.
After a hiatus of over eight years, all seasons of Teen Wolf are now available to stream on Netflix. Originally airing on MTV from 2011 to 2017, the show—created by Jeff Davis and starring Tyler Posey—is a modern take on the 1985 film. It follows Scott McCall, a high school student whose life changes forever after a werewolf bite. The series explores his attempts to navigate the challenges of being a teenager, playing lacrosse, and dealing with the supernatural secrets of his town, Beacon Hills. While it was previously on Netflix until 2015, Teen Wolf returned to the platform on December 1st.
Teen Wolf’s Return to Netflix Is Great, but It’s Still Missing Something
MTV’s Teen Wolf was a huge success, attracting a dedicated following over its six seasons and winning many awards. The show quickly drew viewers in by blending the familiar world of high school – with all its classes, sports, and relationships – with exciting supernatural elements. While set in high school, Teen Wolf was surprisingly intricate, constantly building its mythology and expanding beyond a simple werewolf story to include a diverse cast of supernatural creatures.
Teen Wolf is a consistently good horror and fantasy series with compelling characters, strong relationships, and lots of action and mythology, which explains why it’s highly regarded as one of the best fantasy shows of the 2010s. Fans were thrilled when it returned to Netflix, but it’s worth noting that the 2023 movie, Teen Wolf: The Movie, isn’t included with the Netflix release. The film, featuring the original cast in a final story, is available to stream on Paramount+.
What’s New on Netflix?
Fans will be excited to find Teen Wolf now streaming on Netflix, even though it wasn’t announced in their December 2025 update. For those who enjoy supernatural and horror, Netflix is also offering Troll 2, a sequel to their 2022 movie Troll. Other new titles added to the service include A League of Their Own, Downton Abbey, Godzilla, Pulp Fiction, The Wolf of Wall Street, and seasons 1-3 of Victoria.
