One of PS5’s Biggest and Most Popular Games Is Getting Its Own DualSense At Last

Since the older version of Genshin Impact will no longer be supported starting next year, Sony and the game’s developer, HoYoverse, have been actively helping players switch to the PlayStation 5 version.

They just dropped a trailer showing how amazing the game runs on the new console, and honestly, it looks incredible! To sweeten the deal, they’re releasing a limited edition DualSense controller. It’s a great way to upgrade my setup and, let’s be real, a must-have for a dedicated fan like me.

So, they just revealed a new controller, and it’s pretty cool! It’s this off-white color, almost ivory, and it’s decorated with designs of the Traveler and Paimon – you know, the main characters we play as in the game. It’s coming out alongside the big update this week, which I’m super hyped for!

PlayStation teamed up with HoYoverse to create a new controller. Wenyi Jin, HoYoverse’s President of Global Publishing, shared details with the PlayStation Blog about the collaboration.

We’re excited to introduce the DualSense Wireless Controller – Genshin Impact Limited Edition to our players and fans! This controller’s design is inspired by the popular characters from Genshin Impact – the Traveler Twins and Paimon – and celebrates the many adventures and friendships forged in the world of Teyvat, as well as our great relationship with the Genshin Impact community. We hope this controller enhances the experience for all Travelers as they continue their journey!

You’ll be able to pre-order the new controller on PlayStation Direct and from select stores starting December 11th. It will be released in Japan and Asia on January 21st, and then become available in Western regions on February 25th.

The pad’s not cheap, retailing for $84.99/£74.99, but Sony does stress only limited quantities will be available, so this is more of a collector’s piece we suppose.
