Get to Know Kimora Lee Simmons’ Blended Family

For Kimora Lee Simmons, family is always in fashion.

Kimora Lee Simmons prioritizes being a mother above all else, even more than her work as a model, businesswoman, and owner of the Baby Phat clothing line.

At 50 years old, and a mother to Ming (25), Aoki (23), Kenzo and Gary (both 16), and Wolfe (10), plus Jayden (19), whom she considers a ‘bonus son,’ she told TopMob News she’s fiercely protective of her children. ‘Everyone knows I’m a very protective mom,’ she said. ‘I’m always there for them, no matter what they need or what problems they face.’

Having six children of different ages means life at the Lee house is often lively and unpredictable.

Kimora Lee Simmons is giving fans a peek inside her family life with her new reality series, Kimora: Back in the Fab Lane, which starts streaming on December 2nd.

“It’s like The Brady Bunch,” she notes in the trailer, “but with no husband.”

Ming and Aoki are following their mother’s career path as international models, while their brothers, Kenzo and Gary, are successful high school athletes. Despite their different paths, the four siblings remain very close.

Kimora excitedly shared that the two are very close and support each other in all aspects of life. She explained they encourage each other to be good people – to get good grades, behave well, and always be polite and kind.

Kimora is used to being on reality TV—her show Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane aired almost fifteen years ago—but it took some persuading to get her kids on board this time.

I had to offer them incentives to get them on board,” confessed the woman who jokingly calls herself their “unofficial manager.” “Things like a sports car and designer clothes. Honestly, putting this whole thing together ended up costing me a lot, and my daughters actually earned more than anyone else involved.”

You know, as a longtime admirer, I’ve always been struck by how Kimora puts it. She always says her biggest wish for her kids is simple: she just wants them to be happy and healthy, and to have everything they need to thrive. It’s such a genuine sentiment, and it really shines through.

Get ready to see how Kimora Lee Simmons balances family life in her new show, Kimora: Back in the Fab Lane, which premieres Tuesday, December 2nd at 10 p.m. on TopMob. This article offers a sneak peek at her blended family before the show begins.

In Kimora’s house, she’s the mom, the dad, the president and the CFO.

Describing her family of seven, the businesswoman playfully compared it to The Brady Bunch, but added, ‘without a husband.’

Ming Simmons, the oldest of five children, was born on January 21, 2000, to her parents, Kimora and Russell Simmons, a well-known hip hop artist.

Ming went to NYU and, like her mother, is now working as a model.

Kimora and Russell welcomed daughter Aoki on Aug. 16, 2002.

Beyond her work as a model, Aoki is a gifted student. She was accepted into Harvard University at the young age of 16 and earned her degree in 2023.

Kimora and ex Djimon Hounsou are parents to Kenzo, born May 30, 2009.

Kenzo, now a teenager, is a standout basketball player at his high school and has grown to almost 6 feet 8 inches, making him taller than both of his parents.

In 2020, Kimora adopted her son, Gary, who was ten years old at the time, and welcomed him into the family with a lot of love.

Now in high school, Gary has found a passion for football.

Wolfe, nicknamed “Wolfie,” was born April 10, 2015 to Kimora and ex Tim Leissner.

While not Kimora’s biological son, Kimora acts as mama to “bonus son” Jayden.

Kimora: Back in the Fab Lane premieres Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 10 p.m., only on TopMob
