Let It Die, as in the original game by Grasshopper Manufacture, will receive an offline version.
Supertrick Games, the team currently developing the game, confirmed the news in a recent developer diary, according to Gematsu.
This game has been available online for free on PlayStation 4 for nine years, and the developers have consistently updated it. Players have been requesting an option to play without an internet connection.
I’m so relieved to hear that the offline version will work with my existing game saves! That means all the progress I’ve made online won’t be lost, which is fantastic. I can switch between playing online and offline without starting over, and that’s a huge win for me.

So, that’s all the info I’ve got right now. They haven’t said exactly when we’ll be able to play offline, which is a bit frustrating, but hopefully it’s not too far off!
Still, fans of the roguelike action game will be pleased to hear the news.
This news arrives just before the release of Let It Die: Inferno, which is coming to PS5 on December 3rd, 2025.
Inferno has recently been criticised for the heavy use of AI tools in its development.
I’m a huge Let It Die fan, and I’m really curious – is anyone else hoping they’ll let us play the original game even when we’re offline? Let me know what you think in the comments!
