Although Dandadan has gained a lot of popularity from its anime adaptation, the manga itself has been equally enjoyable lately. With ongoing mysteries surrounding Count Saint-Germain and the emotional fallout from Momo’s amnesia, each new chapter delivers, and the story shows no signs of stopping.
The latest chapters of Dandadan have been excellent, and chapter 219 is a high point. The manga has reintroduced a fan-favorite character after more than a year, which was a delightful surprise. Hopefully, this will pave the way for exciting things to come in Dandadan.
How Dandadan Finally Brought Turbo Granny Back To The Story
Once Okarun’s final testicle was located, Seiko kept her promise to Turbo Granny and restored her powers. Turbo Granny then quickly exited the main storyline of Dandadan. She hadn’t been seen much in the manga since, but unexpectedly reappeared at Seiko’s side in chapter 219, following Momo and Okarun’s fight with the mummy.
It was established some time ago, in an extra story within volume 20, that Turbo Granny was working on a way to restore Momo to her normal size following the events of the Danmara arc. While that story happened a while back, it’s exciting to finally see the main storyline addressing it in a fantastic way.
What Turbo Granny’s Return Means For Dandadan’s Story
Fans have been waiting for Turbo Granny to return, and her reappearance could be a huge benefit in Dandadan. With Turbo Granny back, Okarun has a chance to get his powers back, and combined with the Oni Club, he might become stronger than ever before. This will be crucial in the upcoming fights against Dandadan‘s latest enemy, Count Saint-Germain.
Most importantly, Turbo Granny always brought fantastic comedy and genuine warmth to the group, becoming a surprisingly supportive presence. Her return is a huge boost for Dandadan, especially now when the characters feel more disconnected than ever, as she’s key to the show’s strong character development.
Turbo Granny has consistently been a standout character in Dandadan, whether through her impact on other characters or simply the energy she brings to the story. It’s fantastic to have her back, and we can look forward to seeing how her return will play out.
