10 Best Anime to Binge on Crunchyroll in December 2025

As the Fall 2025 anime season wraps up, I’m already looking forward to what’s coming next! It looks like we’re getting some highly anticipated returns alongside a bunch of new series. While every season has its highlights, waiting week after week for just a 20-minute episode can be tough – and those cliffhangers definitely leave you wanting more. That’s why I really enjoy binge-watching anime, especially on Crunchyroll, which has the biggest selection around.

Our platform is packed with great shows, from the newest releases to lesser-known favorites just waiting to be discovered. As the weather turns colder, what could be better than getting comfortable and enjoying a captivating series? If you’re searching for something new to watch this December, check out our list of 10 anime – it’s enough to keep you entertained all month long.

10) To Your Eternity

The popular series returned for a third season in Fall 2025, continuing Fushi’s adventures as he travels the world. The show explores the idea that living forever isn’t always a blessing. The story starts with a mysterious orb sent to Earth to learn about the world by inhabiting different forms – anything from objects to living creatures. After existing as a rock for centuries, Fushi becomes a wolf, then a boy, and finally begins a long journey. Throughout his travels, he meets many people and experiences their joys, hardships, and ultimately, their deaths.

9) Saga of Tanya the Evil

I’m so excited! This anime first came out in 2017, and then they surprised us with a movie in 2019. We knew another season was coming eventually, but the studio just announced it’ll be here in 2026! The story is just incredible – it follows this really tough protagonist, who used to be a jaded office worker from Japan. Through a twist of fate, he’s reborn as a little girl named Tanya Degurechaff in a Europe that’s basically stuck in a magical, war-torn version of the early 1900s. It all started because he challenged what’s basically a self-proclaimed God, Being X, and ended up getting reincarnated into this wild world where magic is used for everything in warfare.

8) Fire Force

The anime Fire Force is ending next year with the second half of its third season, making now a great time to start watching! The story takes place in a world where people suddenly burst into flames, turning into destructive creatures called Infernals. A special team of firefighters, known as Fire Force, battles these monsters. The main character, Shinra Kusakabe, is a new recruit determined to save lives and uncover the mystery surrounding his family’s death from ten years prior.

7) Hell’s Paradise

The exciting fantasy series Hell’s Paradise will be back for a second season in January 2026. The story centers on Gabimaru, a powerful and deadly assassin, who is sentenced to death for his crimes. He’s given a chance at freedom: find the legendary Elixir of Life on a dangerous island where no one has ever survived. Though reluctant at first, the thought of reuniting with his wife motivates him to accept. But Gabimaru isn’t alone in his quest – other prisoners are also searching for the elixir, making his mission even more challenging.

6) Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day

I recently experienced a really touching story that felt perfect for the colder months. It centers around Jinta Yadomi, a young man who basically stopped living his life after his friend, Meiko – or Menma – passed away. He’s been skipping school and lost in video games when, unexpectedly, Menma’s ghost appears. She can’t seem to find peace, and Jinta quickly realizes he needs to reconnect with their old group of friends – friends who drifted apart after Menma died – to help her move on. It’s a story about friendship, loss, and trying to make things right.

5) Laid-Back Camp

The beloved anime series has been renewed for a fourth season, though we don’t know when it will premiere yet. The show centers around Rin Shima, a girl who prefers solo camping at the foot of Mount Fuji to traditional vacations. She’s incredibly skilled at wilderness survival – from setting up camp to collecting wood – but a small mishap leads her to ask for help from a nearby girl, and together they share a cozy night under the stars.

4) May I Ask For One Final Thing?

Coming in Fall 2025, this exciting new fantasy romance centers on Scarlet el Vandimion, a noblewoman betrothed to Prince Kyle since birth. After years of enduring his cruel treatment, she finally reaches her breaking point when falsely accused of wrongdoing. In a stunning display of defiance, she fights off dozens of nobles in the palace ballroom before they realize she’s the infamous ‘Mad Dog Princess.’ The story follows her quest for revenge, but she finds it difficult to avoid the playful, mischievous attention of Crown Prince Julius.

3) Haikyu!!

Many people consider this sports anime a classic feel-good story. It follows Shoyo Hinata, a determined young boy who dreams of becoming a famous volleyball player like his idol, the “Little Giant.” Shoyo’s first middle school tournament was a disappointment, as he lost badly to Tobio Kageyama, a skilled player from a strong team. Hoping for a fresh start, Shoyo joins Karasuno High School – the same school his idol attended. To his surprise, he finds Tobio there as well! Now teammates, they must overcome their past rivalry and learn to cooperate if they want to achieve their goal of reaching the national volleyball championships.

2) Fruits Basket

Considered a top Shojo series, Fruits Basket centers around Tohru Honda, a sweet and caring high school student who starts living in a tent after a family tragedy. Luckily, her classmate Yuki Sohma and his cousin Shigure offer her a place to stay. When Kyo Sohma, another cousin, comes to live with them, Tohru learns a surprising secret: members of the Sohma family are cursed to transform into animals from the Chinese Zodiac under certain circumstances. Despite this, she’s fascinated by them and develops close relationships as she meets more of the Sohma family.

1) Yuri!!! on Ice

Even though the planned continuation of the series was canceled last year, the original 2016 anime Yuri!!! on Ice remains incredibly popular. With the ninth anniversary of the show’s finale coming up in December 2025, it’s a great time to revisit this beloved classic. The story centers around Yuri Katsuki, a figure skater who returns to Japan after a disappointing loss. Just when he’s about to quit, he meets Victor Nikiforov, a five-time world champion, who offers to coach him after seeing a video of Yuri go viral. Thrilled to be coached by his idol, Yuri begins training with renewed determination to win a gold medal.
