Caput Mortum now available for PS5, Xbox Series

Black Lantern Collective and WildArts have launched the first-person horror game Caput Mortum on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series for $11.99, according to a recent announcement.

Caput Mortum first launched for PC via Steam on August 27.

Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:

About

Caput Mortum is a brief, terrifying horror game played from a first-person perspective. It’s inspired by classic 3D dungeon crawlers and survival horror titles. Explore a tower filled with long-forgotten nightmares, where danger lurks around every corner. Confront terrifying creatures and uncover the mysteries of ancient, forbidden lore.

Slow Burn Horror

Turn off the lights, put on your headphones, and get lost in the game’s dark and creepy world. Each room holds a new horror, and hidden clues can be found around every corner. Carefully explore your surroundings, solve challenging puzzles, and figure out what happened inside the tower. How far will you go to discover the truth, and what frightening secrets will you find?

Nightmarish Beings

Be careful! The abandoned tower is full of different kinds of monsters that will attack you on sight. You can try to sneak past them, fight them, or find another way to deal with them. Just keep an eye on your health – healing items are limited, so this is a classic, challenging game!

Unique Controls

Experience a classic dungeon crawler feel with controls that make combat more challenging and immersive. You’ll control movement with one hand and actions like interacting with objects and attacking with the other. Plus, you can customize the controls to fit your playstyle!

  • Controller (Default) – The recommended way of playing Caput Mortum. The controls make you feel vulnerable while remaining fair.
  • Controller (King’s Field) – For nostalgic players! You can control the camera and move your character like in the King’s Field games.
  • Controller (Modern) – For players who want to use a controller with a more familiar control scheme.
  • Keyboard Only – If you don’t own a controller but still want the feeling of vulnerability, this is the option for you! Control the camera and your hand with the arrow keys.
  • Keyboard and Mouse – This is for players wanting a more familiar experience. Control the camera and your hand with the mouse.
