Even though George Clooney is a famous actor, his daughter doesn’t seem to care much about his celebrity status.
George Clooney recently shared a story about how his daughter, Ella, reacted to his celebrity status. He was discussing parenting his eight-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, with his wife, Amal Clooney.
George recently shared on the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce that his 8-year-old daughter has started rolling her eyes at him. He explained that when he jokingly tells her, ‘You know, your dad’s a big star,’ she now responds with an eye roll.
George described his parenting approach as somewhat strict, noting that his children are generally well-behaved. “I’m a little strict,” he explained, “but my kids are pretty good.”
Being a parent is a surprisingly funny journey,” the Gravity actress shared, “because you quickly learn that kids really do hear everything you say.
Some parents may be wishing George Clooney goodnight and good luck after this one.
Oscar-winning twins Alexander and Ella, who George Clooney shares with his wife Amal, aren’t easily impressed by their famous father.
George recently shared on the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce that his 8-year-old daughter has started rolling her eyes at him. He joked that when he tries to remind her he’s somewhat famous, saying things like, ‘You know your dad’s a big star,’ she simply rolls her eyes.
Maybe it’s how he raises his children. “I am fairly strict,” the 64-year-old explained. “Fortunately, my kids are well-behaved and generally do a good job.”
It’s actually quite humorous being a parent,” Sandra Bullock shared, “because you quickly learn just how much kids pick up on everything you say.
A fact he unfortunately knows from experience.
George remembered being cut off while driving to school recently and yelling, ‘What an idiot!’ He was shocked a few minutes later to hear his eight-year-old repeat the exact same phrase from the backseat.
He went on to say he knew people would talk, his wife would find out, and he’d be in serious trouble.

I’ve been following George and Amal for a while now, and it’s amazing to see all they do! It’s clear they’re dedicated parents, but I also know how demanding their careers are – Amal’s a really impressive human rights lawyer. It seems like one of their biggest challenges, just like for so many working parents, is simply finding enough quality time with their children amidst everything else.
The actor, known for his role in Ocean’s Eleven, explained to Will Marfuggi of TopMob News at the Jay Kelly premiere that they try to balance their schedules so that he and his wife can each have time to work and be home. They aim for a little variety in their routines.
He admitted that nobody’s perfect, but stressed the importance of still putting in the effort and doing your best.
