It’s strange to discuss Grand Theft Auto release dates without mentioning GTA 6, but let’s focus on what’s happening now. Here’s the latest on the release date for the new Mansion update for GTA V Online and what it includes.
The latest GTA Online update, called ‘A Safehouse in the Hills’, lets players purchase several luxurious mansions within the game.
If you’re hoping to join Rockstar’s exclusive “Very Important Prix” club, you’ll need to start putting money aside, as the best properties in San Andreas are quite expensive.
Grand Theft Auto fans should be prepared for a potentially high price for GTA 6. Rumors about the game’s massive development budget suggest the new sequel might be more expensive than previous installments when it’s released.
Still, at least we’ve got something new to occupy us until GTA 6!
When is the GTA Online Mansion update release date?
The GTA Online Mansion update ‘A Safehouse in the Hills’ release date is Tuesday 9th December 2025.
Updates typically happen around 10 AM GMT, meaning most people will need to wait until after work or school to check them out.
What to expect in the GTA Online Mansion update
Okay, so the next update, ‘A Safehouse in the Hills,’ is adding a bunch of new properties we can actually buy in-game. Plus, there’s a whole storyline coming with it focused on this new developer group, Prix Luxury Real Estate – looks like we’ll be doing missions for them!
According to GTA Base, it appears there will be two construction sites:
- East Vinewood Hills – The area overlooking the casino.
- West Vinewood – Next to Miguel Madrazo’s house.
The new homes are designed to be lasting additions to the area, and the surrounding scenery will likely adapt to them over time. Unlike apartments, which are mostly just changes to the inside of existing buildings, these homes will fundamentally change the landscape.
There’s also speculation that Devon Weston’s mansion, a familiar location from the single-player story of GTA V, could be available to buy in the game.
We haven’t announced prices for the mansions yet, but they’re expected to be very expensive.
Finish the three New Listings missions by December 7th and you’ll receive a $2 million discount, plus a $1 million cash bonus delivered within 72 hours of finishing them.
