Fans of the movie Knives Out were thrilled to see Benoit Blanc reimagined as a Muppet named Beignet Blanc, solving a mystery on Sesame Street. Now, with the upcoming release of Wake Up Dead Man in 2025, Daniel Craig, the actor who plays the famous detective, has shared his reaction to the Muppet parody – and it’s wonderful!
Although director Rian Johnson has said a full Muppets and Knives Out movie isn’t likely, we did get a fun crossover! It wasn’t a feature film, but a charming mystery where a Muppet version of detective Benoit Blanc appeared on Sesame Street to solve the case of the missing pie, originally belonging to Cookie Monster. To top it off, Daniel Craig himself reacted to the scene, creating a really neat connection. Check it out!

I doubt Daniel Craig would ever reprise his role as Benoit Blanc, but the character himself is definitely a standout. It would be great to see Craig and Blanc share a scene! Overall, this is fantastic. The “Forks Out” mystery is a funny spin on Knives Out, and it delivers exactly what fans have been hoping for.
To top it all off, they even got a reaction from Daniel Craig, and his response was fantastic! I especially loved his joke about Josh O’Connor, who plays Father Jud Duplenticy and has been praised as one of the best parts of Wake Up Dead Man. While Craig’s comments were mostly humorous, he also seemed genuinely impressed by the video, saying:
I’m really upset that I can’t be there to experience this with everyone. As a lifelong fan of Sesame Street, it’s incredibly touching to see this happen.
That’s really kind, and people enjoyed watching Craig’s reactions. Even his co-star from Wake Up Dead Man, Kerry Washington, joined in, commenting:

Seeing the great reviews for Wake Up Dead Man, finally catching it in the cinema, and then this amazing crossover – it’s all been fantastic! It’s really brightened my week, and it’s great to see Daniel Craig seems to be enjoying it too.
