Seed Lab recently shared a new trailer for their anime-style life simulation game, Starsand Island, along with details about how the game’s combat and multiplayer modes will work.
Here are the details:
During today’s PC Gaming Show, it was announced that Starsand Island will offer more than just peaceful farming and friendships. Players will also be able to engage in third-person combat while exploring a mysterious, ruined part of the island. When encountering the unusual creatures living in the ruins, players can use weapons like slingshots and bows to cleanse them of a magical corruption, allowing them to be tamed.
The ruins are also home to tough animal bosses that add another level of difficulty. Defeating them requires skillful play – you’ll need to find their weak spots, improve your weapons and ammunition, and time your defenses perfectly. However, the rewards are substantial, including the ability to unlock more advanced skills and professions, making the challenge well worth the effort!

You don’t have to explore the ruins and fight creatures alone; Starsand Island offers online multiplayer so you can play with a friend. Together, you can build a peaceful life by farming, fishing, raising animals, and building your dream home. You can even share vehicles or ride bigger creatures as you explore every corner of the island.
Today’s announcement showcased some exciting new features for players building a peaceful life in the game. Players can now use helpful robots to automatically take care of their farms while they’re exploring – maybe even on a hoverboard! They can also build their own custom greenhouses that use sunlight to grow even more plants.
Starsand Island will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC (through Steam and the Microsoft Store) in early 2026.
