Jessica Simpson is sharing what the holiday season really means to her.

Jessie J shared a peek at her holiday preparations with her three children – Maxwell, 13, Ace, 12, and Birdie, 6 – whom she shares with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Eric Johnson. The kids joined their mom for a special holiday photoshoot, marking the start of the season.

“Christmas is here!” shared the 45-year-old, posting a December 4th Instagram photo of her children, Ace, Birdie, and Max, posing with Christmas decorations. She explained that December for her kids has always been about experiencing real love, excitement, hope, happiness, kindness, and pure joy!

She added, “Wishin’ you and yours all the many blessings this month has to offer y’all’s hearts.”

Jessica Simpson shared a cute family photo showing her kids being themselves – Ace and Max playfully resting their arms on little Birdie, who sweetly smiled for the camera. This comes just a week after Jessica talked about how her family celebrated Thanksgiving.

Okay, so she and Eric did break up – it was announced in January after ten years together, which honestly broke my heart – but get this! She actually said there’s still a place for him at her mom’s house for Thanksgiving! Can you believe it? It’s like, they’re split but still family, and I’m just trying to process it all! It’s so sweet, but also… complicated. I’m obsessed with knowing every detail!

“It’s my kids’ father,” Jessica said in an interview published by TMZ Nov. 28. “Family first.”

She explained that children inherit traits from both parents, so it’s important to always be respectful in your speech around them. This helps them develop a healthy perspective on everything.

Jessica added, “Unconditional love is important.”

The actress from All’s Fair and the former NFL player have always lived by their values, and were recently seen together in September celebrating something special.

Jessica told TopMob News in September that everyone involved felt like a close-knit family, and supporting Ashlee was incredibly important. She described the occasion as a special moment they wouldn’t have wanted to miss for anything.
