Train Sim World 6’s First Japanese Railway Route Looks Breathtaking in PS5, PS4 Teaser Trailer

The Tadami Line, a new Japanese railway route for Train Sim World 6, was originally announced for Train Sim World 4. Many feel it took developer Dovetail Games and Union Workshop a very long time to finally release this content, and they’ve faced criticism for the delay.

This short trailer finally shows the content is shaping up, and it appears to be one of the most promising additions to the game in a while.

We understand the decision to focus on the UK, USA, and Germany is likely based on solid data. However, because so much of the excitement around this release seems to be about experiencing new places virtually, we’re especially pleased to see this countryside route nearing completion.

The Tadami Line railway takes you from Fukushima to Nagata, crossing Japan from its eastern side to the western coast. It’s a scenic route known for its lovely forests and countryside views.

The trailer’s framerate seems a little rough right now, but it’s still being developed, and performance tweaks are typically done towards the end. Even so, the overall impression is really good.

While several Japanese train simulation games exist, created by developers like Sonic Powered, they often use pre-recorded video footage. This means they don’t offer the same interactive gameplay experience as Train Sim World 6.

There’s still no release date attached to this, but we’re really hoping it’s not too far away now.
