Horror games are still hugely popular, and fans are excited for upcoming titles like Resident Evil Requiem. While big-name horror games do well, independent developers often create really original and scary experiences. In fact, the indie horror game Horses recently gained attention for being removed from several platforms. Now, another atmospheric horror game, Tiny Bunny, is making waves on Steam. After four years in development, the full 1.0 version has just been released. Despite its seemingly innocent name, Tiny Bunny is a deeply unsettling psychological horror game presented as a visual novel.
Tiny Bunny is a horror visual novel where your decisions change the story. Developed by Saikono and Sokar and published by Serenity Forge, the game first launched on Steam in April 2021 as an Early Access title. Since then, the developers have consistently added new chapters. Now that the complete version 1.0 is available, including the final chapter, Tiny Bunny is becoming increasingly popular with Steam players.
Tiny Bunny Full Release Garners Big Player Counts But Mixed Reviews

The final episode of Tiny Bunny was released on December 5th, completing the horror visual novel and officially launching the full 1.0 version of the game. The complete story features 20 unique endings, all presented with the game’s acclaimed art style. Now that the story is finished, Tiny Bunny is available for horror fans who prefer to experience a complete game from the start.
The game’s creators have teamed up with Serenity Forge, the publisher known for successful titles like Slay the Princess, to handle the official release. Currently, the game is only available on PC through Steam, but this partnership could bring it to other platforms in the future. Serenity Forge’s marketing support is also proving beneficial, as the game is gaining more attention.
The recent release of a new chapter has caused a surge in popularity for the game Tiny Bunny on Steam. While the game previously peaked at around 5,600 concurrent players in 2023, typically averaging between 100-300 daily players, the full 1.0 release on December 5th propelled it to a new high of over 25,400 concurrent players. This significant increase demonstrates a strong demand for immersive and atmospheric horror games.

Early reviews for Tiny Bunny were very promising, averaging ‘Very Positive’ on Steam with around 88% positive feedback. However, after a wider release and more players weighing in, recent reviews have shifted to a ‘Mixed’ overall rating.
Many players are disappointed with the game’s ending, feeling it was too hurried after a long wait. Some critics have even suggested the developers used AI to create the finale. However, Steam requires developers to state when they use AI-generated content, and the game’s Steam page doesn’t include that information.
Even though some players had concerns about how the game ended, Tiny Bunny was popular during its early release and is expected to attract even more players now that it’s fully available. It will be interesting to see what the final review scores are as more people play it.
Tiny Bunny is available on PC via Steam for $10.99.
