AUDIOMECH, Audiosurf Developer’s Next Title, is Getting a Free Demo on December 12th

Dylan Fitterer, known for creating the game Audiosurf, is working on a new title called AUDIOMECH. It’s a music-driven game where players control a mech in a dangerous, music-powered world.

Okay, so here’s how the game works with the music: anything red on screen reacts to the bass in the song. Vocals and the main instruments make the purple stuff move, and the treble controls all the blue elements. My mech can actually change forms – I can be a Bass Knight, a Vocal Gunship, or a Treble Bomber – and honestly, which form is best really depends on the song. If a track is super bass-heavy, Bass Knight is the way to go, but if it’s all about the high notes, I’ll switch to Treble Bomber. It’s all about adapting to the music!

If you prefer a more relaxed experience, try Relax Mode, where you can’t take damage, or Touring Mode, which slowly restores your health. For a unique challenge, Headliner Mode offers rogue-lite elements – clearing waves lets you earn upgrades or extra health. And if you want a truly difficult game, Metal Mode removes all upgrades and health recovery.

Watch the new trailer and mark your calendars! A free demo will be available on Steam starting December 12th.
