Fans of Star Wars will be excited to hear that Fuse Games’ first game, announced for 2025, will let players experience the thrilling and dangerous sport of pod-racing – a key part of Anakin Skywalker’s backstory. The game is being developed by a team of experienced racing game developers, which makes this already great idea even more promising.
Drawing inspiration from racing games like Burnout and Need for Speed, this new game takes place in a galaxy after the Empire’s defeat. A criminal organization has established a secret racing league in the Outer Rim. Players will compete on a variety of tracks, both familiar and brand new, scattered throughout the galaxy. The game features a single-player story mode, multiple routes through each track, and player-versus-player racing, all adding up to a potentially exciting experience.
Also, because the game is structured around runs, losing progress due to a crash could be frustrating. If you’re interested, the game is scheduled to release in 2026 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
