As a huge collector, I’m really excited about what Topps and Marvel are doing! After their awesome X-Men ’97 cards and the recent comic-style Chrome set, they’re taking things to the next level with their first ever Chrome cards based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And get this – they’ve got hand-drawn, signed cards from Frank Miller himself! Not just prints, but actual original artwork drawn directly onto the cards – some are even one-of-a-kind! I’m thrilled to be getting a first look right here on Comicbook!
The initial card set will feature 200 cards highlighting popular characters from Marvel movies and TV shows, with exciting new parallel designs. Collectors can find “Debut” cards with a special Marvel Medallion marking the first time a character has appeared on a trading card. A limited-edition variation called “The Snap” will also be available, with only 99 copies of each card made – representing the moment Thanos eliminates half of all life.

Topps is honoring their 1963 Astronauts cards with a new insert set called The Fantastic Four: First Steps, featuring Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing. Look for the rare blue parallel versions, limited to just 4 copies each! But that’s not all – there’s much more to come.
The set will also feature cards themed around Marvel Gods – showcasing deities and demigods with unique die-cut designs. There’s an ‘Agatha All Along’ insert featuring the original Tarot card artwork from the show, printed on shiny chrome and limited to just 99 copies. Plus, the cards will highlight key scenes from recent Marvel releases like Captain America: Brave New World, Daredevil: Born Again, and Thunderbolts. Topps promises plenty of hidden details and Easter eggs to discover, including variations of the New Avengers logo and references to the TVA Pruning.
Topps MCU Chrome Set Hand-Drawn Frank Miller Cards Details
Getting one of the hand-drawn Frank Miller cards is very rare – you have about a 1 in 15,200 chance of pulling one of the basic designs. We’ve included a complete list of odds for all the cards in the set, plus a checklist, but first, let’s cover when and where you can place your orders.

The 2025 Topps Marvel Studios Chrome trading cards will be available for purchase on Topps.com starting December 23rd at 12pm EST. The Hobby box is priced at $270, while the Value box costs $40.
