The Simpsons Cast Lindsay Lohan To Voice Future Maggie

For the first time ever, Maggie Simpson will speak on an upcoming episode of The Simpsons, and Lindsay Lohan will be providing her voice!

Lindsay Lohan will be appearing on The Simpsons this week, voicing Maggie Simpson – a character known for being mostly silent throughout the show’s history. Lohan announced the exciting news on her Instagram page, calling the opportunity “a dream come true” and expressing her gratitude.

She also offered a sneak peek of the upcoming episode. The short clip featured an adult Maggie attempting to prevent her teenage brother, Bart, from taking their parents’ car. She pleaded with everyone not to let him drive, explaining that he has a history of aggressive driving. In a desperate plea, she exclaimed, “Please! Don’t let Bart drive! It’s too scary! He drives erratically, people honk and yell at us, and people make rude gestures!”

Lindsay Lohan isn’t the first famous face to give Maggie Simpson her voice. Elizabeth Taylor voiced the character in a season 4 episode called “Lisa’s First Word,” and Carol Kane did it in the season 2 episode “Bart vs. Thanksgiving.” Interestingly, male actors have also played Maggie – James Earl Jones and Harry Shearer both voiced her in classic Halloween episodes of The Simpsons called “Treehouse of Horror.”

The next episode of the show, starring Lindsay Lohan, is called “Parahormonal Activity.” It’s set in the not-too-distant future, with Maggie all grown up and Bart and Lisa as teenagers. The episode will focus on Marge’s challenges raising two difficult teens, while Homer is portrayed as the only one keeping it together – or is he?

The Simpsons airs new episodes every Sunday night at 8:00 PM ET and 5:00 PM PT on Fox.
