There’s been a lot of talk about The Batman Part II, including speculation about actors leaving and new ones joining the cast. Recently, a rumor surfaced about a big name being added as a villain – which is always exciting for Batman fans. However, that rumor has now been proven false, and many fans will likely be disappointed.
There was a recent buzz that Brad Pitt was being considered for a villain role in The Batman Part II. However, The Hollywood Reporter has debunked this rumor, stating that sources close to the production have confirmed he will not be appearing in the film.
Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part 2 Still Has People Buzzing (Even Without Brad Pitt)

Although Brad Pitt won’t be appearing in the next Batman movie, there’s still a lot to talk about! The most recent exciting news is the addition of Scarlett Johansson to the cast. Her role is currently a secret, and fans are guessing she could be a villain, a romantic interest for Bruce Wayne, or perhaps a character with qualities of both.
There are a couple of intriguing fan theories about who Scarlett Johansson might play in the upcoming film. One suggests she’ll be Astrid Arkham, the daughter of Jeremiah Arkham. Another popular idea is that she could be the character Phantasm, secretly Andrea Beaumont – both possibilities seem quite plausible.
If Scarlett Johansson joins the movie, it would soften the blow of losing Zoe Kravitz, who was fantastic as Catwoman in the first film. While reports suggest Kravitz won’t be in the sequel, which is unfortunate, there’s hope she might return for a potential third movie.
Director Matt Reeves has been keeping details about the Batman sequel under wraps, but he recently told The Hollywood Reporter that the script explores new territory for both Batman and Bruce Wayne. Reeves expressed excitement about the script, believing it will resonate with audiences because it delves into aspects of the character – both his heroic and personal sides – in a way that hasn’t been seen before.
We expect to learn more soon, but even now there’s plenty to be enthusiastic about, and we’re really looking forward to seeing the movie released.
The Batman Part II is expected to hit theaters in October of 2027.
