Patrick Mahomes is optimistic after a devastating setback.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback announced the end of his ninth season after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee during a game against the Los Angeles Chargers on December 14th.
The 30-year-old expressed sadness on X on December 14th, saying they didn’t understand why this had happened and admitting it was painful. They added that all they could do was have faith and keep working hard every day.
Patrick Mahomes expressed his gratitude to Chiefs fans for their constant support and the many prayers he’s received. He also shared that he’ll be back even stronger, and mentioned his children Sterling, Bronze, and Golden, whom he shares with Brittany Mahomes.
Patrick was injured in the last two minutes of the game while trying to throw a pass. As a Chargers defensive end, Da’Shawn Hand, rushed him, Patrick’s knee seemed to give way when he planted his foot, causing him to fall and show obvious pain. After the game, the Chiefs announced the details of his injury.
An MRI revealed that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes tore the ACL in his left knee during today’s game. He and the team are now considering surgery.
As a lifelong Chiefs fan, it was heartbreaking to watch Patrick get hurt during our tough 16-13 loss to the Chargers. It’s even worse knowing that this loss means we won’t be seeing playoff football from the Chiefs for the first time in ten years. It really feels like the season ended on a terrible note.

After the team lost, Patrick’s close friend and teammate, Travis Kelce, came into the locker room looking upset.
Travis told reporters and fans as he headed to the locker room, “Now’s not a good time to talk.” He added that he’d be available to chat later in the week. Taylor Swift, his fiancée, was at the game.
With Patrick Mahomes on the mend, the Chiefs’ fans – and quarterback Gardner Minshew – are showing their support.
Honestly, I was just blown away by what he said after the game on December 14th. He was talking about a teammate, and he just seemed so genuinely respectful. He said he’s never played with anyone who gives quite as much to the team, and it just broke my heart that they weren’t seeing the wins they deserved. But the best part? He has complete faith in this teammate, thinks he’ll bounce back and be even better than before! It’s just… everything about that interview showed how much he believes in him, and it makes me so hopeful!
He added of Patrick, “He’s the best.”

After noticing comments about her “puffier” face during interviews, she was surprised when doctors began commenting online, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome. This led her to realize that steroid injections she’d received after a breast reduction and C-section could be the cause. Schumer shared that she wouldn’t have discovered the condition without the online commentary. She suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms, initially unable to respond when Justin asked if she was okay. She then found she couldn’t speak and the right side of her face began to droop.
Although her speech and facial movement eventually returned, Hailey went to the hospital where tests revealed she’d had a small blood clot in her brain, which doctors identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA discovered she had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to travel to her brain, causing the TIA.
Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now feeling well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, leaving him unable to blink, smile, or move his nostril on the affected side. He also mentioned it became increasingly difficult to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, adding that while the situation was frightening and unexpected, he was going to be completely fine and she was thankful he was on the mend.

In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he was suffering from a severe headache when he suddenly lost consciousness. He doesn’t remember the next 20 days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he’d had a brain bleed that caused a stroke.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She underwent immediate surgery to repair it, describing the pain as unbearable. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.
After a week, her speech returned, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month. However, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown, requiring a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia reports she has now made a full recovery and is at 100%.

Determined to find answers, Woodley, who has a background in herbalism, combined traditional medical care with holistic healing approaches. This search for well-being lasted for ten years.
She explained that the physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body.
