Rob Reiner’s Daughter Tracy Speaks Out After His & Michele’s Deaths

Rob Reiner’s loved ones have been left reeling. 

Just after director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead at their home on December 14th—apparently victims of a homicide—their daughter, Tracy Reiner, shared her shock. Tracy, who was adopted by Rob and his late ex-wife Penny Marshall during their marriage, had seen her father only the day before.

She told NBC News that she came from a wonderful family and was completely shocked by what happened, saying she didn’t know what to say.

Rob and Michele Reiner, parents to Jake, Nick, and Romy, have passed away, according to family members. In a statement to Variety, the family expressed their deep sorrow and asked for privacy as they grieve this unexpected loss.

On December 14th around 4 p.m., Los Angeles police were called to the home of the Reiners family to investigate a possible death. Officers found two people who were already deceased.

Police detectives from the Robbery Homicide Division went to the home of director Rob Reiner after receiving a report of a possible homicide. Investigators have not released any further information at this time, as the investigation is still active.

As a close follower of this case, I heard from Deputy Police Chief Alan Hamilton that the investigation into this tragic death will continue late into the night, according to NBC News. He also said they haven’t named any suspects yet. When reporters asked, he confirmed that the police plan to interview many family members as part of their investigation.
