Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Proves There Won’t Be Another Sorcerer Like Yuta

Please be aware that this article contains spoilers for the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga. This sequel to Jujutsu Kaisen, created by Gege Akutami and illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki, began releasing in September. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is planned as a short series, likely lasting around six months and consisting of no more than three volumes. The story has taken a dark turn, as attempts to reach a peaceful agreement between the Simurians and sorcerers have failed. As of chapter 15, Cross is still severely injured and no one can heal him. Additionally, the sorcerers are currently unable to defeat Dabura, the leader of the Simurians.

Because someone challenged a member of their group to a duel, the burden now falls on Yuka Okkotsu, a sixteen-year-old who is very ill and frail. This shows that the jujutsu world is significantly weaker than before, as the adults are relying on a sick teenager to fight a battle they should be handling themselves. Despite needing a wheelchair to get around and having failing eyesight, Yuka is determined to fight as well as she can. The story reveals her incredible abilities, particularly her mastery of the Ten Shadows Style, but even with her talent, she doesn’t quite reach the power level of her grandfather.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Doesn’t Have Anyone Nearly As Strong As Yuta

Yuta Okkotsu was exceptionally powerful – no one, not even the most skilled sorcerers or his own family, could compare. Throughout the story, he was considered second only to Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of his time. In fact, the series revealed that Yuta actually had a larger reserve of cursed energy than Gojo, making him an incredibly formidable opponent.

When he was young, his cursed power unintentionally transformed Rika Orimo into a powerful vengeful spirit. He later enrolled in Jujutsu High School to learn how to manage his abilities. His unique technique lets him copy the skills of others under specific circumstances, giving him access to a vast and incredible range of techniques. What’s more, his exceptional cursed energy allows him to use these copied techniques even more effectively than the original users. He was a remarkably gifted individual, making him a truly unique and irreplaceable asset to the Jujutsu world.

The manga never showed Yuta’s child, and his unique abilities weren’t passed down to his grandchildren, meaning they may be lost forever. Unlike the Ten Shadows Technique, which is exclusive to certain members of the Zenin Clan, Yuta’s power was solely his own. He passed away from old age when his children, Yuka and Tsurugi, were young, leaving them to navigate life on their own, with little known about their parents’ backgrounds.
