Studio Bones has delivered another beautiful adaptation, and the story itself is truly exceptional.
With only one episode left in the first season of Gachiakuta, fans are hoping for a second season, and there’s good news! A reliable source on X (formerly Twitter), @SugoiLITE, has reported that a new season has been approved. This suggests a second season is coming, and potentially faster than expected, given the time usually needed to create anime of this quality.

The first season of Gachiakuta will conclude on December 21, 2025, with an announcement about a potential second season expected shortly after. If a second season is confirmed, it could arrive as early as Winter or Spring 2027, assuming the studio decides to create another full 24-episode season like the first one, which was released just over a year after it was first announced.
The first season of the show is expected to cover around 85 chapters of the original manga, and since the manga has over 150 chapters total, the second season will likely be shorter. While no official announcement has been made, a 12-episode Season 2 could arrive as early as next year, with Fall 2026 being the latest possible release timeframe. Considering the first season’s success, and with Studio Bones having finished their other major project, My Hero Academia, they likely have the resources to continue the series. An announcement could come soon, potentially after this Sunday’s finale.
