Okay, so I’m super excited because Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is finally coming to Xbox Series X/S and the new Nintendo Switch 2 in January 2026! To keep us hyped while we wait, Square Enix just dropped a free demo on both platforms – I already downloaded it from the Xbox store and it looks amazing!
If you tried the demo for Remake on PlayStation 4, you’ll quickly recognize this – it’s the same opening section, where you meet Cloud Strife and the group Avalanche. Players work to disable one of Shinra’s Mako Reactors, leading to a fight with the Scorpion Sentinel. It’s a great introduction to how the combat works.
Plus, anything you achieve in the demo will actually help you when you start the full game! Even if you don’t complete the demo, just having a saved game file will give you the Survival Set and Revival Earrings to use in the main game.
The updated version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be available on Xbox Series X/S and the new Switch 2 on January 22nd, 2026. Buy the digital version before January 31st, and you’ll get the original Final Fantasy 7 as a free bonus – Xbox players will be able to start playing it right away.
