Crunchyroll’s Bloodiest Anime is Getting a New Live-Action Adaptation

I’ve noticed a lot more anime being made into live-action shows lately, and it makes sense why. Studios are clearly looking for the next big franchise like Marvel, and anime offers built-in fan bases and recognizable titles. We’ve already seen successful adaptations like One Piece, Alita: Battle Angel, and Avatar: The Last Airbender bring anime fans back to live-action. Now, one particularly intense anime series – a really big hit in 2025 – is planning a new live performance that promises to be amazing.

I’m so hyped! After the awesome Chainsaw Man The Movie: The Reze Arc hit theaters here, the team is bringing even more to the table! Shueisha just announced a live-action stage play adapting the story of the Bomb Devil – basically, they’re bringing the movie to life on stage! It’s hitting Tokyo and Kyoto next summer, and from what I’ve heard, this isn’t going to be your typical stage show. They’re promising to recreate those crazy battles in a way we’ve never seen before, building on the energy of the first performance. I can’t wait!

Chainsaw Men

Following the announcement of a live-action stage play adaptation of the “Reze Arc,” many of the original cast and crew are returning to bring the world of Chainsaw Man to life once more. Naotake Tsuchiya, who played Denji, expressed his excitement, saying he’s thrilled to reprise his role and continue with the sequel. He’s eager to recreate the unique energy and thrills of the first production, especially with the popular “Reze Arc.” Tsuchiya promises a dedicated performance, as this arc features key moments for his character, Denji. He and the entire team are committed to delivering a fantastic show to as many people as possible and appreciate the support of fans.

I’m really excited to see where the Chainsaw Man anime goes next! There’s still so much of the manga left to adapt, and honestly, I’m on the edge of my seat wondering how it will happen. Will we get a second season, or maybe even a movie? The next arc in the manga is pretty long, so my gut tells me we’ll likely see another season on TV, but MAPPA has definitely surprised us before, so anything could happen!
