It’s been a rough time for Diddy. As a long-time observer of pop culture, it’s shocking to see him currently serving a five-year sentence at Fort Dix after being convicted on charges related to running a prostitution operation. And the legal troubles don’t stop there. He’s facing a whole wave of lawsuits, with some incredibly serious accusations – sexual assault, sex trafficking, and violence are all being alleged. There was one particularly disturbing case filed last October, where a woman accused him of being involved in a gang rape. However, it seems like he’s managed to resolve that specific lawsuit in his favor, though the other issues remain.
Ashley Parham is the plaintiff in this case, and she alleges she was raped by Diddy and others in 2018 at a home in Orinda. Parham claims she was tricked into going to someone’s house with the false promise of assisting with cancer medication. She also states the assault was in retaliation for her previous claim that Diddy was involved in the murder of Tupac Shakur, and that during the attack, someone inserted a TV remote into her vagina.
US District Judge Rita Lin has ruled in favor of Sean Combs and others in the case. According to KTVU Fox 2, the judge made the decision because Ashley Parham failed to file the lawsuit against the defendants within the required 90 days. Additionally, Parham was without legal counsel after her attorneys resigned in September, and she didn’t indicate whether she would seek new representation or continue the case on her own.
Besides Diddy, the lawsuit filed by Parham also mentioned football player Odell Beckham Jr. and comedian Drew Desbordes, known as Druski. Both Druski and Beckham have stated they weren’t involved in the alleged attack. However, Judge Lin previously rejected a request from Beckham’s lawyers to penalize Parham.
More on Diddy

Michelle Branch attended a party hosted by Diddy around the time of the recent celebrity drama, and details about her encounter with someone reportedly named ‘Owen Wilson’ illustrate the stark contrast in experiences among those involved.
Before a lawsuit alleging gang rape was dismissed, Sean “Diddy” Combs had already won another legal case this year. In May, a judge dismissed a separate lawsuit accusing him of sexual harassment. The plaintiff, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, claimed that while working for Combs from September 2022 to November 2023, he experienced sexual harassment, was drugged, and received threats.
The legal issues facing Diddy started gaining attention in 2023 when his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, sued him. Ventura alleged that Diddy subjected her to abuse and sex trafficking throughout their relationship, which lasted on and off from 2007 to 2018. Diddy’s legal team quickly settled the case – within 24 hours – although he maintained his innocence, a response he’s repeated with other lawsuits filed against him.
Sean Combs is currently fighting lawsuits and is also trying to get his sentence reviewed. Recently, a judge agreed to speed up the appeal process, which is a positive development for him. If everything proceeds as expected, his lawyers could present their case in court in April 2026. It’s uncertain when more information about the appeal and the other lawsuits against Combs will be released.
