Emily Cooper’s romantic endgame is TBD, but Lily Collins left drama by the wayside years ago.

Lily Collins, known for her role in Emily in Paris, married Charlie McDowell in 2021. They recently became parents to their first child, a daughter named Tove Jane McDowell, who was born in January through surrogacy.

Collins shared on TODAY that her daughter gives her life greater meaning, and learning to let go of the need for perfection has been the most valuable lesson for her this year, especially as the fifth season of the series premieres on Netflix December 18th.

While the marketing manager’s job security in Europe was once a big question mark, and they’re now leading the Rome office, Collins has a stable and well-managed personal life.

Celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary, the 36-year-old shared a heartfelt message to their spouse, McDowell, on Instagram. They expressed immense gratitude for McDowell’s support over the past few months, saying they wouldn’t have been able to cope without them. They described McDowell’s unwavering love as a constant source of strength, and said their partnership is beyond anything they could have dreamed of. Excited for the future, they shared that their love is only just beginning and simply being grateful doesn’t fully capture how they feel.

Honestly, I’m really hoping Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo, realizes he needs to seriously win Emily over. She’s already having such a wonderful time in Rome with Marcello – Eugenio Franceschini is fantastic in the role – and it’s making me nervous for Gabriel! He needs to step up his game if he wants to even get a message from her like that someday.

Bravo has experienced a lot of change recently, including a summer romance with Shailene Woodley that didn’t last. Mindy and Nico broke up at the end of season four, which set the stage for Mindy to go on a date with Emily’s former boyfriend, Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), as hinted in the trailer for season five. Meanwhile, Ashley Park and Paul Forman were together until a few months ago.

In a December 2024 interview with Glamour, Park admitted she quickly fell for her co-star. She’d previously decided she wouldn’t date another actor, and was especially hesitant because he lived in London while she didn’t want a long-distance relationship. When Emily in Paris star Lily Collins met Charlie McDowell, she felt the amour right away.

The actress, whose parents are Phil Collins and Jill Tavelman, revealed to Ellen DeGeneres in 2022 that she met the filmmaker – the son of Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen – by chance. They were surprised it hadn’t happened sooner, as they’d been around each other professionally many times. She described it as a classic, instant connection.

The couple, who previously co-starred in the films Gilded Rage and Windfall, got engaged in 2020 during a road trip in New Mexico. Charlie proposed with a unique diamond ring.

The couple got married in a private ceremony in Colorado in 2021 and have been together ever since, tackling life’s challenges as a team.

In 2022, Lily told TopMob that she felt capable of overcoming any challenge. She explained that she and her partner had navigated a lot of personal and global changes, and having someone to share those experiences with—someone who could make her laugh and offer emotional support, even during difficult times like a four-month move abroad—was incredibly valuable. In January 2025, the couple expanded their family with the birth of their daughter, Tove Jane McDowell, who was born via surrogate.

People started speculating about a romance between them after photos surfaced last month of them displaying affection during a stroll in Paris’s Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood.

As a big fan, I noticed things seemed to fizzle out between them by September. It looked like Lucas was single when the fifth season finally dropped on December 18th, which was a little sad, honestly.

In a 2020 interview with Elle Australia, he described what he wanted in a relationship, saying it’s about finding someone you instantly connect with. He explained that it’s when you look into someone’s eyes and feel a deep understanding, as if you’ve known them forever—or they’ve known you. Before becoming known for his role as Marcello and his romance with Emily in Rome, Eugenio first met his partner while working on the Italian TV series Medici, which aired from 2016 to 2019.

He explained to F magazine in 2018, shortly after their first son was born, that despite both working on the same film production – he as an actor and she in photography – they didn’t speak to each other for about four months. He described the set as massive and said their connection wasn’t instant, but rather grew gradually over time.

Ashley and her costar, Paul Forman (who played Mindy’s ex-boyfriend Nicolas), dated for two years before they split up, with the news becoming public in October 2025.

Ashley explained to TopMob News that she and her partner initially connected as friends and colleagues while working on a project. She said revisiting that dynamic – seeing each other as professionals again – was enjoyable, largely because they have a lot of respect for each other’s work.

After months of speculation, she publicly confirmed her relationship with Paul in January 2024. She also revealed he supported her through a serious health crisis, explaining that what began as a sore throat quickly became a life-threatening infection that impacted multiple organs.

I’m so thankful to be feeling better, especially considering the initial prognosis. Honestly, I owe so much to my partner, Paul. He was an absolute rock through everything – the frantic ambulance rides, navigating three hospitals in a foreign country, a terrifying week in the ICU, endless emergency room visits, all the scans, tests, and shots… it was incredibly painful and confusing, and we were so far from our support system. Forman shared that she and her co-star began dating after working together on the show. She described him as incredibly supportive, generous, and kind, making it enjoyable to work with him. That positive dynamic continued this season, and they easily fell back into their working relationship when filming began. She said it was a genuine pleasure to work with him.

She’d keep hoping for a traditional relationship, date men who didn’t want the same thing, and then quickly end things if someone did show interest.

She and Josh Brolin were engaged for a short time but ended their relationship in 2001. Looking back, she believes marrying him would have been a huge mistake.

Minnie went on to explain, ‘I’m with someone who doesn’t want to get married, but he’s everything I ever dreamed of in a husband – kind, loving, and truly wonderful.’

The actress became a mother to her son, Henry, in 2008, raising him on her own. She didn’t share who his father was until 2012, when she revealed he was a writer on her TV show, The Riches.

She explained to The Observer that because they weren’t a couple and he wasn’t involved in the business, she decided to keep the situation private to shield him from unwanted media attention.
