EastEnders airs surprise Linda Carter revelation as Max Branning’s world is upended in BBC iPlayer release

The floor has fallen from beneath Max Branning’s (Jake Wood) feet in EastEnders.

This week, a character known for being unfaithful reappeared when his son, Oscar (Pierre Counihan-Moullier), faced a dangerous situation. Oscar was trapped in a house fire at his sister Lauren Beale’s (Jacqueline Jossa) home and had to be taken to the hospital.

Max was determined to fix things with his children, but it wouldn’t be easy. He had left during Lauren’s wedding to Peter (Thomas Law), causing a significant rift.

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) grieved the heartbreaking loss of her children, Bradley and Abi, who both died after falling from the roof of The Queen Vic. Through her sorrow, she began to wonder if their father had been fundamentally altered by the tragedy.

As many of you know, Max unknowingly became a father to Linda’s daughter, Annie, four years ago.

His family has been keeping something hidden, but the truth is finally coming to light.

Max was still trying to reconcile with his family, so Linda hesitantly agreed to let him stay at Peacock Palace. However, Linda’s mother, Elaine Peacock, cautioned that letting Max near Annie was a dangerous idea.

Tomorrow on the show, Elaine shockingly suggests dyeing the child’s hair to disguise their family connection!

Back at The Vic, Max was struggling with the news that Lauren had used funds donated to charity to cover the cost of unproven medical treatment for her son, Jimmy, which turned out to be a fraud.

He wrongly believed Ian Beale had stolen the money, and he assured Lauren he’d give her the funds to help with whatever she was going through.

Seeing that, I really started to think he might be worth a shot. It gave me the courage to finally be honest with him about everything.
