A trailer for Guy Ritchie’s Young Sherlock has been released, giving us our first look at the new take on the iconic detective and confirming when we can expect to see it. The series, aimed at young adults, was first announced in early 2024. Ritchie is directing an eight-episode drama based on Andy Lane’s Young Sherlock Holmes novels, which originally came out in June 2010.
Hero Fiennes Tiffin will play Sherlock Holmes in a new adaptation of the classic character created by Arthur Conan Doyle. He previously collaborated with the director on the film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. The movie will also star Max Irons as Mycroft Holmes, Joseph Fiennes as Silas Holmes, Dónal Finn as Sherlock’s rival James Moriarty, Natascha McElhone as Sherlock’s mother, Cordelia, Zine Tseng as Chinese Princess Gulun Shou’an, and Colin Firth as Sir Bucephalus Hodge, a professor at Oxford.
The official trailer for the upcoming series Young Sherlock reveals all eight episodes will premiere on March 4, 2026, on Prime Video. The show will be available in over 240 countries and territories globally. The roughly 90-second trailer also gives a glimpse of the complex mystery Sherlock will be investigating.
