It’s become common for shows and movies to disappear from streaming services, and it’s been happening a lot lately. HBO Max removed many animated series, and Netflix plans to do the same next year with titles like Captain Underpants and She-Ra And The Princesses of Power. Now, Paramount+ seems to be following suit, as subscribers have noticed a popular Nickelodeon cartoon is no longer available. While Paramount+ hasn’t officially commented, many fans are likely disappointed to see the show removed from the platform.
Recently, viewers noticed that the popular Nickelodeon cartoon, As Told By Ginger, is no longer available on Paramount+. This has upset many fans who loved the show. Currently, there’s no way to watch the series legally online, as it isn’t offered on any digital platforms. Although shows sometimes move between streaming services after being removed from one, there’s been no news about where As Told By Ginger might appear next.
Why Losing Ginger is a Tragedy

Unlike shows like SpongeBob SquarePants which feature underwater adventures, or Invader Zim with its world domination plots, the animated series starring Ginger focused on everyday life, similar to Doug. The show first aired in 2000, ran for three seasons, and became a beloved favorite among Nickelodeon viewers. Though a continuation or spin-off never materialized, it remains a popular Nicktoon, and currently, the only way to watch it legally is through DVDs or other physical copies.
Nickelodeon’s website describes As Told By Ginger as the story of Ginger Foutley, a middle schooler who doesn’t want to be seen as a geek. Along with her friends Dodie, Macie, and Darren, she hopes to fit in with the popular crowd. What makes this show unique is that the characters age and the story continues throughout the series, offering a real conclusion – something rare for animated shows. Now that the show has been removed from Paramount+, fans are wondering if other Nickelodeon cartoons will also be cancelled.
Currently, Paramount+ still offers classic Nickelodeon shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, Rocko’s Modern Life, Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, The Wild Thornberrys, and Rocket Power, among others. Hopefully, more of these animated series will stay on the platform, but with streaming services changing so often, it’s hard to be sure.
