ARC Raiders: Flickering Flames Item Locations & How to Find Fast

For the Flickering Flames event in ARC Raiders, you’ll need to travel to different spots and collect many different items, and completing it quickly is recommended.

This project is like a scavenger hunt – you’ll need to gather and turn in a lot of different items to finish it. You’ll find both common things like plastic pieces and harder-to-find items like candle holders.

Rare or not, though, our guide will tell you some good locations to find everything pretty fast!

Flickering Flames Project Item List

Here’s a quick list of everything you’ll need for the Flickering Flames event. Use it to keep track of what you still need to get!

Okay, so this is basically everything you need to buy for the event. The only item that appears on multiple lists is Candleberries. You’ll need 260 of those in total, so let’s start by going over those!

Candleberries

We’ve talked about Candleberries before. You can find them while playing maps that have the Cold Snap event happening. Look for bushes filled with red berries, like the ones pictured above.

You can find Candleberries anywhere in the natural world, but only when the Cold Snap event is happening. The map shows the three best places to collect them, as they have the most Candleberry bushes.

You can also earn Candleberries by progressing through the reward track during the Flickering Flames event. To do this, you’ll need to collect Merits.

You earn Merits simply by playing the game and gaining experience points (XP). For every 100 XP you get, you receive 1 Merit. You can purchase all the Candleberries with 11,400 Merits, which will give you 180 total. You’ll still need to find the remaining 80 Candleberries on your own.

Items in Speranza

Before you start raiding for better gear, you can actually find some useful items right here in the Speranza hub! Here’s what’s available:

Snap Blast Grenade – You can buy 3 from Apollo for 2400 coins each. You can craft them at the Explosives Station 2 with Crude Explosives x2 and Magnet x1. Check out our guide on Workshop upgrades if you need it.
Plastic Parts – Sold by Celeste for 1 Seed each.
Duct Tape – Sold by Celeste for 6 Seeds each.
Durable Cloth – Can be crafted at the Refiner 1 with Fabric x14.

Okay, so I managed to snag all of these things, and it’s awesome because it gets me 4 out of the 20 items I need – and I didn’t even have to leave my base to do it! Pretty good start, if I do say so myself.

Best Item Gathering Spots

Now that we’ve covered those basics, let’s focus on raiding for more loot. We suggest the Dam Battlegrounds map for this.

This map is the best choice because it’s simple to explore and contains all the different items you need. You can complete your entire shopping list just by playing this one map!

Just a heads-up, the stuff you find is pretty much random every time you play. Each run is different, and you’ll get a mix of items. Plus, other players can snag the good stuff before you even get there, so it’s a bit of a race sometimes!

Nonetheless, there are 3 main areas you want to tackle in this map. So, let’s go over all of them.

Residences

You’ll find the first search area in the northwest corner of the map, around the Pale Apartments and Ruby Residence buildings. Because these are residential zones, you have a chance to find these items as loot:

Candle Holders
Frying Pans
Coffee Pots
Film Reels
Music Albums
Empty Wine Bottles

Thoroughly search all drawers and containers in these buildings. While some items, like the Candle Holders, are quite rare, you should be able to find everything you need right here.

Hydroponic Dome Complex

This location is close to the heart of the Dam Battlegrounds. Because it’s an industrial area, you’ll frequently find various useful items here.

Industrial Batteries
Water Filters

As I’ve been exploring, I’ve noticed mushrooms everywhere! You can often find them growing on trees around here, but especially if you head into the swamp area to the west – they’re super common there.

Research & Administration

Finally, the Research & Administration and Control Tower buildings are located on the eastern side of the Dam Battlegrounds. These buildings are good places to find the following items:

Light Bulbs
Music Albums
Film Reels
Empty Wine Bottles
Fireball Burners (from the Fireball ARCs)

Now you should know where to find everything you need. While searching these three main locations, you’ll also likely gather other useful materials, like Plastic Parts and Fabric – which you can use to make Durable Cloth if you haven’t already.
